Hello Everyone,
I am new, just joining today. I have been attempting to lose weigh ever
since I was ten. I have a hundred pounds to drop. I have been trying to
go vegetarian. It helped me drop fifteen pounds, but now am at a stand
still, so my fingers brought me here. I need some motivation from fellow
warriors in the "battle of the budges".

Smile Re: Newbies Sign in Here!

Hi, I'm Sara. Since I had my 4th child back in 2002, I only considered myself to be "a few pounds overweight", or mildly overweight. I was kind of in denial and felt I wasn't "fat" enough to worry about what I ate. Even looking in the mirror didn't point it out so much. Then a couple of weeks ago, I wore a strapless PINK dress as a bridesmaid in my mother's wedding. After seeing the pictures, I cried. Years of crappy fast food and little exercise have taken it's toll and not only have I become obese, I can't seem to find the energy or even a day without pain to exercise like I should. SO I have decided to take a patient "one day at a time" approach to this and hopefully make some friends along the way!

Red face Re: Newbies Sign in Here!

Hi everyone! Just joined yesterday - love it here already.

I'm Jen, at-home mom of two boys (5 & 6) - just started working again, part time from home.

I was slim - or, rather, not skinny, but a healthy weight - into my mid twenties. Then came pregnancy (!) ... two in a row, actually! And the weight crept on. First it was 10 pounds, then 15, then 20 ... then it went up in increments of ten. But after my second pregnancy, I actually managed to lose most of it! I was back down to the 20 pounds (to lose) range or so.

Then I got sick - really, really sick. I was put on all kinds of meds, including steroids ... and it all came piling back on, and then some. I watched myself balloon by the week - it was absolutely heartbreaking.

In the last two years I've had half a dozen operations, and hit my all time heaviest weight. And now, about to go in for my 7th op, I've had enough. I HAVE to stop this downward spiral, and it has to start now.

I want my life back! I want my confidence back. This place is just what I need ... I look forward to getting to know you all, and supporting you on your journeys too.

Hi, I'm Sarah- the lady above me ( Jen ) is my hero and the world's best cheerleader.

I'm a wife and mom of two age 11 and 8 and I'll admit I've gotten pretty slack about exercising. I just lost my job a few weeks ago, and a little exercise here and there gives me something to do during the day and it helps me feel less depressed and alone.

I just want the scale to go down down down and my clothes to fit and feel and look great again. I am so excited to be here and so excited to bring about such positive, permanent change in my life!

I think that this is the right place for me, everyone is so friendly, and I feel like I am not the only one in the world with a weight problem. I am so glad that I joined this forum, I have gotten lots of information on weight lose, I just don't know how to start, I know that I will have to try a few different things before I find the right diet for me. (well not a diet, a change of eating habits)

Hi,

I'm Kate. I'm 5ft 1in and 151lbs, and I need to lose 30-35lbs. I'm always dieting then giving up though lack of motivation & gaining the weight back again. Just found this site yesterday & decided it was time to try again, and hopefully with a little help I'll get there this time. Now I just need to find a group I can join in with. :-)

Hi
I too am new! I joined on September 28 to find support and encouragement. Being my first week on my journey I am excited and motivated, but from past experience I know that will wane and I will have moments of discouragement. Join my buddy list - together we can do this.

Teri
