Hi my name is Patty and I could really use support. I am very rural and have very few contacts for weight loss. I am really out of the loop on online things and have no idea about the blog thing. Do I have to blog? Anyhow hi everyone.

Hi all. I'm a newbie (duh).

I joined because I am having a hard time getting re-energiezed. Here's my story.

I used to fluctuate between 140 and 160. I got a really bad case of Lyme Disease, I was bedridden for 3 years, and just had an absurd list of health problems.

About 4 years ago, after moving to Florida, I started going to the pool, and started losing weight. So I figured if a started to diet, I would really lose weight.

And a did. My all time high 224. I got down to 155, but I gained back a lot, so now I am 178. But I have been that weight for about 3 years, so I have made a dent.

I totally believe that low carb is the best for me. My mother drives me nuts about it. (how can you eat eat all that butter, meat, whatever).

I think I am looking for a safe haven from my mother.

My name is Marie and I want to lose 70 lbs. I just joined today and I already see a lot of helpful forums and tips to use. I would love to have a Coach to help me out along the way. I am very hopeful that there is something/someone here that can help me get to where I'm headed.

HI My name is Kaitlin, But as my fellow coworkers and friends know me Kaity you guys can too. So heres my storie I'm 18, turned 18 on march 24 2008, my reasons for being here may be in more depth then some or maybe less then others. My story is that I wasn't always big, When I was 5 i was actually under weight, but my parents seperated and i turned to food for comfort, Then later on when my dad applyed for bankruptcy when my mom and him got divorced when i was 7 i really started to eat the wrong things at the wrong time my dad was always at work and my mom a nut case, I turned to my best friend food, NOt to mention having to wonder if i'd ever get to eat again after each meal didn't help, My dad and me struggled through my adolescent years. So after a rough start at life i'm currently living with my step mom which i call her mom, I dont talk to my real mother anymore, and i have three step sisters and two half sisters, in 2007 I moved to live with my grandfather at 17 because i Wanted to help him out because he was having problems and I reached my all time high weight of 297 pounds, Because I was able to choose what i ate I did the grocery shopping and i did get things that i normally didn't get living with my rents in iowa. So when I decided to move back to iowa nad back with my dad and mom I decided i'd start losing weight. Which as of right now i'm at 286 and i was at 297 before I moved here I've only been back to iowa for a month so I think i'm doing good. mostly I just am doing it so I can lose weight its really not for the looks i know i'm not ugly i'm a bbw and i'm Phat " Pretty hot and thick" BUt alas this is n't the healthy me and I would like to once in my life be at a normal weight not obese and not underweight. for me normal weight technically for being 5' 4 3/4" tall i should be at 135 to 145 but i would just like to say if i can get under 200 pounds i'd be happy and then i'll go from there. Thanks for reading and i hope that We all can help each other.

-Kaity-

Hi Everybody! My name is Melissa and I am 24. I used to have an extremely active lifestyle (involved in lots of sports etc.) but after I moved away from home I became less and less active and gained a ton of weight. I am hoping this site/forum/blogs will help keep me motivated so I can feel about myself

Hey everyone,

A friend of mine told me about the great support and inspiration she's found on BuddySlim so, I signed up The community seems wonderful and I've already made some buddies, thanks a million for your support so far! I've got a lot to lose but it's helpful to hear other people's success and tips - I'm looking forward to reading through the forums. I would have been here sooner but somehow my email wasn't activating - that's fixed now!

About me - I'm 29, I like cats, and I play online computer games I'm trying to incorporate more activity in my life so my first step is starting Aquafit next week - it's low-impact yet strengthens muscles and does some cardio. I'm excited about that!

If anyone wants a noob buddie just send me a line
