I'm from NZ, have a 21 month old son and I own a small chain of natural parenting stores around the country.
Prior to getting pregnant I was a fireman - so I was pretty fit. However after pregnancy I lost muscle and gained fat. After meeting my current partner, a Personal Trainer, I decided I needed to get serious about fitness again (I'd been treadmilling daily, but that's not so effective, just easy to do at home!)
So it's back to weight and resistance training :-) I'm being trained by my partner's training partner and have been for a month now and I'm doing great, LOVING it. He's really good and even trained the 55yr old guy who came second in the 2002 World Firefighter Games (so he has a HUGE kudos with any fireman).
I don't have a goal weight (scales are for fish) but I do want to be able to pass the career fireman's physical exam again.
