Default Starting Exercises For the REALLY big-Boned.......

Hi All,
For all you success stories out there, what did you start with exercise-wise? Please don't say "walking" cause I know that one already and will be doing that, but I wanted to expand and get a full workout that isn't going to throw my back out and have me rolling all over the floor like a beached whale (lol). I got an exercise ball yesterday and the DVD that came with it....so NOT for the beginner! If anyone has any great beginner ideas for the exercise ball too, that would be great. I want to start slow so as to not injure myself, but I'm so large right now I have no idea what to do besides walking. Any suggesstions appreciated. Peace Out....
J

I would recommend \'1 minute workout\' by minna lessig amazon link. It uses hand weights, I use 2 lbs and 3 lbs, you can even use cans. You get to choose your intensity and how long you want to do it, and if you want whole body, upper or lower body. Each excercise is only a minute and they are not hard to learn. Plus, you see her doing it. The excercises are random so they aren\'t boring. And if there is one you can\'t do, just do what you can till the next one. Its only a minute each.
Let me know if you try it. We can do it together.

I just ordered it, along with \"The Biggest Loser\" Cookbook. I\'ve heard good things about it also, and obviously my food has to change along with exercise. If I\'m going to keep eating the way I am, I may as well not bother. I can\'t wait to get my new workout video! Thanks for the tip. Peace Out...

I started doing the \"Biggest Loser\" workouts and they are so much fun! They get you moving and get your heart beating. I feel so good when i know that i just completed a 50 minute workout that only seemed like 10 minutes. You should try them. They are like $10 a DVD at walmart. They are aslo motivating because they just don\'t have thin people doing them. They have the contestants of the biggest loser. You don\'t feel bad because they all are skiney.

Is there a public pool where you live? I suggest Aquafit classes, they are a great work out and low impact on your joints. I love them, and when I am done a good hot tub afterwords. I am also a member at Curves. A great support staff, and new friends will keep you going. It is a circuit training so you work at your speed, and build muscle, and only 30 minutes of your day. When the weather is nice I do Walk, a lot of walking and of course a little bike riding, and for me a good Yoga tape to help me be more flexible and stretching is good, exspecially since I am not getting any younger.
