It's different for each of us.* If I go off plan, I'll gain weight immediately.* Maybe my body just isn't to the point yet that it WANTS to be smaller.

Yeah, my rings are getting looser for sure! Last night, I was able to remove one that has been..stuck...for awhile now, lol...
It is SO annoying that you can put it on without even thinking about it but taking it off is such a dang effort. LOL. THis site is proof of that, don't you think?? I do, and I'm so glad it (and all of my buddies) exist(s)...

Yes* &* No.

Until your body adjusts to a new weight, it will definitely fight you.
However, when you've been at a lower weight for a while and then gain a few pounds, your body will tend to pull you back down.

Basically, whatever weight you're at, your body will want to stay there and the inertia to change is very strong.* That's why a lot of people yo-yo.* They don't give their bodies time to acclimate to the new weight (it can takes months if not years), so once they start gaining back, they can't stop.

If you maintain a lower weight for a few months or even years, your body will accept this as your weight and it will actually work in your favor trying to maintain that weight.

YEP! I havent been able to wear my engagement ring or my anniversary band for a while now...I am down to a real thin wedding band, and its too big too...
*
They were spinning around so much and getting banged up...
*
I want to get them sized but I have to wait till the end of my journey so I get them in the right size!
*
Dawn

Yes, Lori, you're right about the not-so-fun part of weight loss.* But Dan is right, when I lose weight it takes A LOT for my body to gain weight again.* It takes weeks of no exercise and lots of eating to get me to gain those 10 pounds again so that's the good news.* Once we get to our GW, our body is going to want to stay there.* It's just a matter of getting there.*
