Default What makes you feel good?

We all know that part of loosing weight, or most of it is motivation.... and to be motivated we gotta feel good... so, i ask... what makes you feel good? What makes you feel beautiful? What makes you feel happy??*What keeps you going?
is it feeling healthy? being thin? being fit? reaching a goal? a strangers compliment? a new pair of socks?? (ha ha i just threw that in there!)

What makes me feel good?* Having to buy a smaller size clothes.* Micheal telling me he loves me, or blowing me a kiss across the room.* Playing with my grandkids, or at least talking to them on the phone.* The encouragements, support and compliments of my buddies on BuddySlim.* Sunshine.*

Well, I've said it many times in other blogs, but I ask myself (quite a few times) throughout the day,
"What do you REALLY want?"* I of course have an answer, which is healthy, thin, attractive,...etc.

The point is that forcing myself to both ask and then answer the question really focuses my mind on, well, what I REALLY want.

I find this very motivating (maybe not exactly 'feel good') but this is a great way to put my long terms goals ahead of the short term pitfalls that we all fall into occassionally.

I feel good when I feel I have accomplished something I worked hard for. That and fitting into a smaller size..NICE! *A really selfish reason would be to look thinner and healthier than my SIL.

Hmmm....of course, my babies come first on the list. Then I'd have to say feeling better and looking amazing...you know, like I did in the old days, LOL!!
Uhm...right now I'm pissed at my DH, but normally I'd*say he makes me feel good. Right now, I'll say knocking his block off would make me feel good...Of course I'm joking...sorta...
I want to be able to look in the mirror and feel beautiful again. I want to be able to keep up with my boys without running out of steam. I want my DH to look at me and realize how damn lucky he is to be with me. Dangit. (Sorry, it's that mad thing coming up again!!).
Okay, I'd better stop before I say something I REALLY regret, lol...

what makes me feel good is travelling, working with animals, helping someone, being organised, finishing projects, getting a guy's attention

Well a million things make me feel good. But if you're looking at it from a weight loss point of view, I always feel so much happier when a coworker or parent says how great I look and ask what I'm doing. People seem to be doing it a lot, and I love it! it makes me feel really good about my progress and how things are working for me!

I also feel good when I fit into a smaller size! I was around a 18/20 when I started all this, and now I'm a small 16! I'm getting closer to smaller sizes! I want to be a 10/12 by Christmas!

And lastly, the one unrelated and bad thing I'm gonna put in here that makes me feel good.... dippin' dots! Chocolate ones! YUM!

  • I feel good when I accomplish something that I didn't know I could.*
  • When I meditate & really think about*how good God has been to me in my life.*
  • When I go outside on a beautiful day and feel the warmth of the sun on my face.*
  • When I see the changing colors in autumn leaves as I drive down the highway.*
  • Standing outside in the spring & summer, watching distant lightening flash,*hearing distant thunder rumble*and feeling strong, warm winds blow right before a fierce thunder storm.*
  • Petting & playing with my dog.*
  • Talking with friends and relatives and being able to express my feelings of*love and show compassion while they are alive and able to appreciate it.*
  • I feel good when I can do*something to make somebody else feel good about themselves.* (When I can help validate someone else by letting them*know that I*love & appreciate them, it is easier for them to*love & appreciate themselves and that gives me a temendous amount of joy!).*
*
There are so many things that make me feel good, I could literally go on for pages, but I'll spare you all the reading and just say that I look for and find pleasure in so many little things in life that*it's difficult for me to get into a serious funk about anything for very long.*
