Forever, I was heavy as a child and carried that into adulthood.

Well, let's see.* I was a skinny kid.* I was 175 when I was in high school, the lost down to 145 just before I got married to my first husband (and boy was I skinny!!!)* Then when I*was 24*I got pregnant with my daughter, and the rest is history.* I gained 80 lbs during that pregnancy.* When I got pregnant with my son I gained about 90 lbs. (he weighed over 15 lbs. when he was born) and I've been fighting it ever since!

What a good question Paula,* This will help to give us some insight and history on some of our buddies.* Thank you!
*
As a teenager I was thin but got pregnant at 15 and like Mary thats where it all went down hill for me...I had lost weight in between my kids but* then with my son I gained quite a bit of weight and never really lost any, mostly started gaining more and more each year untill I got to a high weight of 230ish.....About 4 or 5 yrs ago I then lost about 65 lbs by taking MetabaLife and only eating 1 meal a day and a lot of walking...I was able to keep that off for about a year and a half then slowly started gaining again..For quite a while I maintained my weight around 190ish then my husband and I quit smoking just after Thanksgiving this year and I went up to 216 in a matter of months.
*
Omg, Mary...I thought I had a big baby boy at 9.5 lbs......But a 15 lb baby?** I Only have one thing to say.....Ouchhhhhhhh!!!** lol*****

Through school, I was fairly thin. In*college, I gained that freshman fifteen and then a few extras, but I never really got this FAT until I after my first son was born. I gained 80 lbs during the pregnancy, then only lost 30 of it. Then after I left my ex husband, I lost like 30 more, but then gained it back plus some a few years later. I ended up weighing the same as I did at 9 months pregnant, then right before I met Bill (my wonderful now-hubby) I lost about 20 of it. Then I got prego with Noah. I only gained a total of 11 pounds and lost 30 after I had him. I kept that off but didn't lose any more until I stopped nursing him at a year old. Then I gained like 65 lbs before I even knew it--and this is why I'm on BuddySlim now. I've had some health issues as a result of the weight and I am no longer pleased with my appearance. This time, though, is different. I'm going to get it off and for good--because for the first time ever, I'm calling it a LIFESTYLE (not a diet)--and I'm MEANING it this time!!!

I have only been really serious since May '06.* I tried the Atkins but I knew I couldn't stick to it.* I feel like I can stick to just portion sizes and fresh food.
