Default Seasonal Blaaahhs

I've been noticing from my Buddies blogs and the comments on them that a lot of people are having problems right now with stress, emotions, cravings and such.
Well, I'm gonna go out on a limb here.* I believe we're all suffering from the same dilemma..."Seasonal Blaaahhs"!!!* It's fall.* The weather is changing.* Days are getting shorter.* Nights are getting longer.* The weather is getting dreary (for a lot of us anyway).* Somebody posted an article on the forums recently*about this very*problem.
I, for one, know that when the temps start dropping, when it's cold, rainy and just plain yucky outside,*I get depressed, I hurt, and sometimes I just want to give up and say the heck with it.* And everyday stress doesn't help.* But that's what our BuddySlim is for.* That's when we all need to turn to our BuddySlim for support.* We talk about it in our blogs, but don't be afraid to post it in a forum thread.* If you can just share it with everybody else, it should help you and could help others at the same time!!
And if anybody has any remedies for the "Seasonal Blaaahhs", please, feel free to share them with the rest of us!
*
And remember:* Don't let a little slip ruin your trip!!!

I am SO with you on this. I don't know a remedy, except the "fake it till ya make it" one--where you pretend things are good and they eventually get that way. That's pretty much how I deal with all of my issues. It's helped a lot...of course, one day I might just explode from all that bottled up crap. Okay, enough of my rambling...happy happy joy joy...

I posted the article on Seasonal Affective Disorder.* For some people, the change of weather can generate more than the usual case of the blahs. Forum » Support » Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) .* One thing that can help the "Average Joe" is to make sure to get some sun during the day, especially if you work in an office environment.* When working indoors in the winter months, many times, you enter and exit work in the dark and eat lunch indoors, so you aren't exposed to any sunlight.* Sunlight GREATLY affects your mood.* Trust me, I know this from personal experience!

Thanks Tamira.* I was in the middle of writing the original post for this forum thread when I remembered your post, but I couldn't remember who posted it, or what the disorder was officially called!!!* But I felt it was worth calling attention to again.

I am so lucky I don't have to deal with this because we only have 2 seasons.* Very hot and hot.* And I agree that the seasons affect us.* I remember when I lived in NJ, I used to get more tired and kind of down during fall and winter.* This may be the time to get a gym membership (since you can't workout outdoors) or get those DVD's we all do so that you can do them anytime.* At that point, it's just about motivation and I get that HERE.* Try it and good luck!*
