I would just throw it away!* I can't resist some foods either!* It is so dang hard to eat right sometimes and I'm sorry someone brang you soup!* I have a friend that brings me fried fish from his resturant everey evening and I LOVE fish!* It takes me a great deal of will power to not eat that food!* I just walk over to the trash and throw it in, then I grab an apple or ricecake and start thinking about them size 8 jeans that just hang in my closet.* That helps!* =)

I've tried literally just about every diet out there, and WW is the only one that's REAL. You can eat whatever you choose, as long as you stay within your daily points range. WW teaches you to eat in the real world. Programs like Jenny Craig tend to "shelter" you while you are losing (pre-packaged food, etc) and then you go through a process to learn how to eat afterward. It seems to me that WW is more sensible because you're learning all along.

Kimberly, I agree with Angie.* Weight Watchers is the only thing that has worked for me, and believe me, I've tried just about all of them.

Default Someone please talk me out of eating this potatoe soup!

Okay buddies,** I need some major support right now.*** My co-worker left a bowl of home made potatoe soup for me on my desk this morning.** One of my favorite foods and one of my major weakness's is soup.** I love it , I want it all the time and I could easily loose my will power over it.....So, I guess I am looking for some hints on how to handle this situation.***** Do I just have a few bites?** Do I just lick the lid to get a taste? lol** Or do I just throw it away.....Ohhhhh, and did I tell you it smells so yummy and that I really want it?**

Hey there,
I notice you're on WW. Why don't you just figure out how many points there are, then have a small serving with your lunch? Otherwise, take just a bite or two and then toss it or take it home for later. I know how tough this can be. Personally, I'd just figure out the points and go for it if it's reasonable. Most potato soup is 3 to 5 points per cup, depending on how it's made. I've never seen one that's more than 5 points.
Good luck, sweetie, and let us know how it goes!!
Hugs,
Angie

I agree with Angie.* Figure up the points, PUT A SMALL PORTION IN ANOTHER DISH, and put the rest out of sight in another room or get rid of it.* I don't know of anything that you can't eat if you control the portions.* There are some foods I refuse to make at home.* I'll buy them already prepared in a very small portion so I won't be tempted to overindulge.* And some foods my husband loves, he only orders in restaurants cuz he doesn't want to torture me.

I don't think many potatoe soups are terrible for you.. if you are on WW and don't know the point value eat a cup and count it as 5 you'll be safe there I think...* Angie is right most are 3-5 points.. I guessed a few times on WW the last time down and it didn't hurt overall.. I'm sure a cup of that soup won't hurt you.. Don't deprive yourself.. that leads to binges...* Portion control works better...
