I have a problem with eating everything in sight at times as well. I have times where I am good about keeping my goals in sight, and there are times when I have to work at it. I have a few methods that I am using right now. I have a jar, and every time I resist temptation I add money. If I resist eating out and eat something at home healthy instead I add the amount of money that I save to the jar. You can make your own rules if you want. I also add 25 cents for each time I exercise.
I have also been thinking of a saying recently. Is this choice helping you get closer to your goal or will this set you back? If you are looking for some techniques the I can make you thin book by Paul Makenna address feeling out of control around food, and you can usually get the book pretty cheap from amazon. You will feel a little silly doing them, but the do actually work. Congrats on realizing that you have an issue that you need to work on and setting out to work on it.
