Question Why slow down?

I lost 7 lbs last week, but I feel like it was probably some water weight because I started drinking more water than soda. I have only lost 1 so far this week but the tracker thingie is telling me to slow down my weight loss or consult a physician. I am eating 1200-1500 calories and exercising.

Default Re: Why slow down?

7 pounds is a LOT for one week but it is common to lose a lot of weight at the beginning. It should slow down on its own. I wouldn't be too worried if it's only one time, but if it continues for several weeks in a row, then that is too much. 1200-1500 calories per day sounds good but it depends how much you are exercising. If you are doing moderate exercise 5 days a week that sounds like a good amount of calories but if you are working out for 2-3 hours at a time and/or working out intensly every day, you might need to eat more calories. protein is really important if you are exercising a lot!

Thanks! I was worried that I wasn't eating enough.
