Hi all.
I am happy tpo report I said no to chocolate cake last nite, could feel old behaviours setting in, and something inside me raised up and said no.
Good job on the cake, Tatiana!
Well, mom and I are doing as well as expected, have some financial hurdles, but trying to take one day at a time.
Plus, I cam down sick with what I think is the flu, so no workouts right now.
Sorry you are so stressed, Little Flower, I know the feeling.
Dara, I loved what you said about pain, made me stop and think.
Hope you feel better, Tina!

oh my binge

so, it was time to make the lady I take care of her lunch... she wanted a roast beef sandwich, I wasn't hungry, which usually I'm not, but I decided (and right there starts the binge) to eat anyway

so, I cut a slice of bread in half, and put my beef and horseradish on, filled my water bottle, made her a whole sandwich, brought her drink. we eat. well, for some reason, she only ate 1/2 her sandwich... so, I added some horse radish and ate the other half, then had some vegetarian chili, cold straight from the fridge, then 3 mini hershey bars (200 cal for 3) and a bag of planters trail mix (6 servings @ 150 cal each) minus the pretzels and yogurt raisins, so maybe 1/2 or 2/3 of the bag, then 3 more hersheys

Then, to bury the wrappers at the bottom of the garbage... (serious binge behavior). Then I felt like throwing up... not like I wanted to make myself throw up, but like I was just going to throw up. Now, I have a tummy ache.

But I know in the long run, this is just one day, one binge, and my ticker will continue to go down.

NOTE TO SELF: IF NOT HUNGRY....DON'T EAT, DON'T EAT, DON'T EAT, DUH!

and along that line, I wasn't hungry (at all) at dinner "time", so I didn't eat. I cooked T-bone, Porterhouse, mashed pot. and not so much as a bite or taste (thanks gum!) to check the flavoring... I figure if it's not quite right, they can add whatever....

I did start to just get a touch hungry around 11, but was tired, so went to bed instead... and woke up hungry, which is rare for me

So, today, my goal.... (actually it is everyday, sometimes it just slips my mind) DON'T EAT WHEN YOU ARE NOT HUNGRY.

hey that's a good way to recover from earlier and a GREAT goal!

i had a big ole binge on monday morning and think that's what caused baby to be so fussy/ too many reeses from halloween.
the funny thing is, the day after halloween i felt great and light and so not interested in candy. if i had time i was going to write all about it... and then sunday and monday and the candy bag hit! or i hit it!

i am still deciding whether i believe in NO BINGES or that's just going to be part of how i eat, how can i make it less often, less food, and less damaging.

You and Reeses, me and trail mix, got to me last nite. I was told to cut myself some slack right now. But I am afraid I would over do that. if you find anyways to make it less damaging, I would like to know, too.

It has been soo long since I last binged, I have been very strict with myself and have been really good about it so far. But today, I gave in - I don't know why, but I did. I ate a bunch of chocolate bars - I couldn't resist. I haven't had any of my daughter's halloween candy at all, until today. Then I gave in, and made up for lost time. Now I am feeling guilty, and need some cheering up.

angel, just keep going towards your goals and dont' waste time being guilty about it. sometimes if we say no too much we set up the binge. that is what i try and avoid...trying to find the balance still, can you get the rest of the candy out of the house?

i believe in no binges, but i can't go cold-turkey, i'd rebel

for now, they are less often, less food, less damaging, and keep getting less and less
