Hi Guys, well, I'm hanging in there. No bingeing since I returned and my weight is less than a lb away from where it was before I left. And Tatiana, yes I did restrict all week. Not so much with the calories, but I really stuck to less carbs and more proteins. Travel definitely does a number on your weight.
I weigh almost everyday too, because when I don't I am not accountable. Sometimes the number can tick me off and lead to eating or bum me out and lead to eating, but most of the time it keeps me in check and in touch with my body. Also, what if the ONE day a week I choose to weigh in is the ONE day that my body is fluctuating up then that would really suck. Plus a couple of days before THE weigh in I tend to eat no sodium, no carbs, you get my point. I think this is a totally individual thing. I've experimented with every way over the last 30 years, and know that I need constant accountability. My weight can get out of control real quick, as I just experienced last week.
I'm going to see the nutritionist this week. I'll let you know what she says.
Dara

Sounds like me a few years back, I've been on the slow track to leading a binge free lifestyle. Not eating can set you up to fail, when you do finally eat your body sends out major signals to get all it can because you've been starving and may again in the future... thanks cavemen ancestors...

Maybe if you make one small goal each week, you will feel more sucessful. If you reach that goal at least once YAY! you're on your way... keep adding up one little success after another.

Hope you are feeling better today...

Thanks, Tina. All in all, I have to look at my successes over the years. Now my FREAK OUT is at 140. It used to be at 170 so things have gotten better. I'm just sick of it, and I haven't fit in all my clothes since about mid May.
My husband and I are going out with another couple tonight. For me that generally means 2 vodka sonics, several, and I do mean several, raw almonds, a very clean fish/veggie dinner followed by a large Penguins frozen yogurt. Lately I've been getting an extra small and a topping of fat free brownies. Can anyone say binge??? I think it's the extra small and the ff brownies that puts me over the top--YOU THINK??
Okay, I'm inspired. I'm still going to have the 2 vodka sonics, and I'll keep it to some raw almonds, and a SMALL yogurt if I have one. That is a big step for me. Might not sound like it, but I gave up sweets, because I'd rather have no cookies than just one. I've felt that way about fro yog. If I have to have a small, I don't want it. Do I sound like I'm 5 years old or what???

I'll let you know what happens tomorrow. Please say a prayer for me.
D

Tina, it's so true about starving body and hunger that would not go away. I have been so hungry for the last three days. And today I decided to eat decent meals until I feel full. Still, I am hungry. It's not mental, it's a real hunger.

Now I understand how people who diet may go off and eat because of the real hunger. I eat 1500 calories now. I hope it will be enough. Screw that rapid weight loss, I want to keep my muscles and feel good TODAY.

Dara, let us know about the nutritionist. Are you going to follow blood type diet? I am not sure if ff brownies and an extra small yogurt are the reasons you gain weight. Really, something else is going on. Check it out. But wait, yogurt has a lot of sugar and you may have sugar cravings as soon as you start eating a small portion so you want to have a large one? The games sugar plays with us.

Sarah, how are you doing? Still binge-free?

Debbie, I will wait for your check-in on Monday. Happy moving!

Kelly, the truth is that you can stop. You can get up and drink water, you can call your girlfriend, or you can just put your hands behind your back, close your mouth, and march away from the kitchen. You have the power girl, I believe in you. Stop being a victim of food. The hunger is in your head, not in your stomach. K?

Okay, so I had the 2 vodka sonics and SEVERAL almonds, BUT I didn't have yogurt afterwards, well not frozen anyway. My husband and the other couple asked me if I wanted to go and I said no, let's go home. Yippee!!! When we returnded home, I put dark chocolates out for them and when they left, I had a cup of danon light and fit w/ a packet of diet hot cocoa for a grand total of 105 calories!

I didn't weigh this morning, but I'll face the music tomorrow. Speaking of music, my kids and I went to see Mamma Mia yesterday and we all loved it!

Have a great Sunday.

Ya congrats on the success Dara!

What is it about the weekends that throws us off track? Is it the lack of routine that fills the weekdays? Not sure...but I struggle on the weekends bigtime. Last night I had a snack that was quickly ballooning into a binge but I managed to halt it before it got outta hand. Yet....I am now expecting a smaller loss on Monday than previously anticipated. Its all good. I only exercised a few times last week where I normally try to work out 4-6 times....I was plain lazy last week i think. Anyway....I am really looking forward to this week...less stress PLUS more eating right daily...water....DAILY exercise! Then maybe I will see the results I want next Monday! I know I didn't binge this past week(came close but managed) and only a little exercise but I am still only expecting a 1 pound loss...just by the way I feel physically.

Gonna keep on smiling and trucking on! We can do this......so proud of each of your successes and/or progress! This is a great support system!!

Weighed in at exactly 143 this morning. So.....I will be adding more exercise this week and hoping for all binge free nights! Goal for next week is 142 or 140....if I hit that I will do a freaky happy dance!

How was everybody else's weekend? I hope you are all hanging in there!!

How are the new changes going Tatiana?
