Sarah, it makes sense what you posted. It also goes against what I read about 1500 calories a day to lose weight. I will talk to my trainer about that because I exercise daily and burn at least 500-800 calories. Daily. It could be true that my body is starving, hence losing lean body mass along with fat and now actually gaining, trying to hold onto every calorie. Last night I went to bed hungry, hoping to see a loss this morning. Instead, I saw 0.5 pound of gain.
I will eat more today and see how it goes. My BMR is 1470 calories meaning that I would burn that much if I were lying in bed all day long.
Thank you so much Sarah for taking your time and posting the links.
And congrats with no bingeing last night.
Tina, that's great that you lost one pound and total of 20 pounds on BS. It tells a lot about your determination and hard work.
Tina, I think that saving calories is a good strategy but it wouldn't work for me on a long run. I would definitely overeat at night lying to myself that I CAN eat that much because I ate so little during the day. For me, it would be the same binge- thinking, restriction/binge cycle, even during one day. Also I think about the liver and spacing the meals evenly to let the liver process calories with ease instead of storing excess calories from one meal in fat.
