WAY TO GO!!! 7.7 inches is A LOT of inches to lose! That is soooo great! I tto am a pear shape and expect my butt to be the last thing to shrink!

Last night went pretty good! Stayed busy, my Dad popped in for a visit and I went to bed fairly early so I was able to avoid any extreme temptations.

Gonna get these kiddies to the park this morning....it is sooooo humid outside right now though it is gross. I feel so bad for my hubby to have to work in this heat but he is on holidays next week woot!!

I am in Hawaii on vacation. No binge last night. Sarah, we need to stay on top with exercise though. I usually start slipping in by neglecting planned things. 6 children - oh Cod. How did you survive?

Little flower, do you have a plan for this weekend to avoid binge when the urge comes? Stay strong Champion.

Well, I've a 5 mile run on Saturday morning and then hopefully will be spending the rest of the day out of the house with a friend of mine. She's planning on going to the cinema, so that'll take up the afternoon.

Saturday evening will be tough though. I'm planning on doing the rest of my shopping for my holidays on Sunday morning, so I plan to head to bed kinda early on Saturday night, to avoid the urge to binge and to be in good form for shopping on Sunday.

On a plus note.... I didnt get pizza last night. It was the 1st Wednesday in months (so long I cant remember when) when I didnt order one in.

I've a doctor's appointment tomorrow. I was going to wait until my check up in 2 months time, but I'm so tired of constantly feeling hungry and having no energy, that I made an appointment with her tomorrow.

I haven't read back through all the pages of this thread, but I did read the article that was posted first. Does binge eating have to be when you're alone? I consider myself a binge eater (well, ex binge eater) because I just ate a ton, even when I wasn't hungry, I just wanted to keep eating more. I didn't necessarily do it in private or at night. Is binging exclusively those things?

I used to binge eat in private, now I do it in front of my husband. For me bingeing is eating and eating and eating. They've gotten better over the years, but they are still there.

Little Flower, I too binge on the weekends which is why I can't lose this last 5lbs. I had it off, but I had a few too many binge days in a row and now I'm in the lose/gain cycle Tatiana talks about.

The cocktail party at our house tomorrow night was cancelled so that helps me out with no drinking tomorrow night. The kids and I go to Florida on Sunday. I really need to pray, because travel days are tough for me.

Tatiana, have fun in Hawaii.

One of the blogs on here had a big article about binge eating...here is the link to that blog most people with serious binge eating problems have
I hope that link works if not I will try again!

Hope you are enjoying your vacation Tatiana! I have heard it is a great spot to go to!! I know what you are saying about exercise is so true. I find even one day without throws me off. Someone posted in one of the forums the following .....
Quote:
"A single 24-hour period of inactivity can lead to a 25-percent increase in the amount of fat tissue and a 19-percent increase in the size of fat cells, according to University of Missouri-Columbia researchers who studied the effects of daily exercise and inactivity."
Scary!!

Nice to see more people coming in the thread! Welcome to all...great support here!

Last night went pretty well....I didn't gain anything yet due to PMS which shocks me as I usually do gain between 1 and 8 pounds..ugh....maybe the exercise and water...lack of junk food is helping with that too! No binges yet...very close at times but came back and read the thread....too much progress to fold I say to myself!

How is everyone else hanging in there?

ok... so I almost binged last night. I've felt my mood get lower since Monday, and last night I was just tired and noth thinking when I got in from work. I ate a plain wrap straight away without thinking, and then a big bowl of museli with skimmed milk and some porridge oats thrown in. After I finsihed the bowl, I stopped myself, grabbed my 2litre of water from the fridge and went into the sitting room and sat down on the couch. I was in the house by myself (my 2 housemates are abroad) so I curled up in front of the tv and fell asleep.

When I woke up, I ate some frozen strawberries with fat-free natural yougurt. The bitterness of the yougurt and strawberries helped calm my head down a bit... but just to be on the safe side, I closed all the doors between me and the kitchen and told myself I wasnt allowed in there again until breakfast.

And you know what... I didnt go in there again until breakfast. I really wanted to, but I didnt.

Right now, I think my mood is getting to it's lowest, but I booked a doctors appointment for today because I felt it coming on. Hopefully it'll help to talk to her. I've no one else around to talk to at the minute.

I am up in my bed at 8pm some nights, last 2 nights, just to be away from the kitchen.
I was 135.6 this morning, which is where I was last Friday. I need to make it through tonight and tomorrow so I can leave feeling good on my trip Sunday. I was planning on having frozen yogurt tomorrow, but seeing how that can be one of my trigger foods if I'm not in a strong place, I am committing now not to have any and not to binge today or tomorrow. Even if I don't lose any more weight between now and Sunday, I will definitely feel better mentally and physically for my trip.
