There was this show on TLC last night called "I Can Make You Thin" hosted by Paul McKenna a famous self-help author from England. Everything he said made sense, like the fact that people need to slow down and savor their food instead of shovelling it in because then we might better realize when we are full. Also not to eat with any other distractions like TV, magazines, etc. for the same reason. It was very interesting, he'll be on for the next 5 weeks, Sundays at 9pm (eastern I think). The other thing I found quite interesting was that I was just starting to read a book on weightloss as well, by someone completely different and a few of methods Paul McKenna was talking about are in there as well.
