Hi everyone, I've missed you all. I see some new faces, welcome Amanda, Lisa and Maureen. I showed my daughter the pics of your danes, Maureeen. She is so jealous. When she was growing up we raised blue danes (had some black, too) and she has fond memories of large litters of sweet babies. Now I have two little german pincers........just a bit bigger than Min Pins, and when I figure out how to do it I'll post their pics on my blog. Now, to get serious, I didn't make my goal of not gaining over the holidays. BUT, I do know exactly where those 2 lbs came from so I'm not beating myself up over it. I just read an article about how tracking what you eat is as important as what you eat. My goal now; eat healthy and track it. Back to three mornings a week of water aerobics (it was cancelled during Christmas break, that was part of my problem, the other part was called 'Euphoria Chocolate') and try to be more regular with dog walks. Well, got to go start laundry......you all take care. ps Amanda, you are worth way more than that sorry boyfriend. You will enjoy the wedding more without his sorry butt there. lol

actually i left the counseling field in 2001 after the back problems and was just getting moving on graphic design when we had Austin. I pretty much don't know what I'm doing and we are lucky for me to be able to be home right now.

YEA SANDY IS BACK!!!!!!!! Missed you in here. Love the new goals and, yes, I've heard, too, that tracking is sooooo helpful. I tried to use the online tracker for my food, but it doesn't work for what I eat. Now that the holidays are over we can get on with it!!!! And I love the attitude of not beating yourself up but knowing what didn't work - nice!

hi debbie, The online tracker is too time consuming for me, I have a pretty (that's important to me) journal and I not only write what I eat each meal, but at the bottom of each page I do a little "gratitude entry" or a "bitch entry" whatever seems appropriate at the time...no offense intended, after all this is a 'doggy group'. I also am, as per the article I read, investing in some gold stars to put on the days I feel deserving. This works better for me as it's quick and something I can pick up and add to/edit whenever I need too. Can also go with me to help keep me on track when I'm not home. Just knowing it's there with me helps drive right on by the fast food traps. I have a Dr. apt in March and the last time I saw him I was 206, that was last Sept.......I actually look forward to this one.

Hi Sandy!
I would love to see pics of your guys. I was showing Arwen (the mantle) for awhile but have given that up for now. Now they are all couch potatoes.

Good to meet you!!

that's so exciting -to want to see your Doc. Great progress. Your journal sounds really nice. I tried to start a gratitude journal but I was too busy complaining to do it ;-) I like how you have both there.

night night all. am off to get some zzzs - one of the best tricks in weight loss.

debbie, who the heck is Tony? You sound so happy he's gone, but for the life of me I don't remember who he is. Is he Amanda's ex?
