Default Lane Bryant Clothing

My Issue: I have bought jeans in Macy's, Wal Mart, and other stores in size 16 W and 16 Misses and they fit fine. Last night I went to Lane Bryant...AGAIN....to try on size 16 jeans and they are tight. What gives? It almost makes me wonder if their jeans are sized smaller to keep the "larger" women shopping there. Maybe it's the other stores...who knows. All I know is I tried size 16 in several brands there and they all fit about the same w/ only a slight difference.
I was wondering if anyone has the same problem as me when trying on jeans at Lane Bryant???

I\'ve had that problem with Lane Bryant. Their pants and skirt sizes are smaller than other stores. I can\'t get pants or skirts a regular stores. I buy most of my clothes from Catherine\'s.

I remember when I was a size 20, their pants there were so much smaller than other places, so I think I could wear a size 18 at other stores, and I never knew it! Go figure. Its a conspiracy!

I agree with the conspiracy theory. I also found that the clothes in the Lane Bryant catalogue seemed to be sized larger that the ones in the store!!

Mary,I agree with you. I have felt the same way. I have snagged a few blouses and a pair of pants, but that\'s it. The prices are kind of crazy,at least in my book.

Okay am I missing something here? Isn\'t Lane Bryants for the heavier women? So what is wrong with this picture?

Rebecca - Lane Bryant is for the heavier women...so they say. So is Avenue. But Avenue\'s sizes stop at, I believe size 24 or 26, and I think Lane Bryant does the same thing in their stores. Their catalogue has larger sizes. I\'ve found Catherine\'s to be the best bet overall!!! Do I sound like a commercial for Catherine\'s? LOL!!!!
