Default Weight loss/Spousal suppport????

Are any of you ladies lucky enough to have a spouse that participates with you in your weight loss journey?** Mine participates as far as he makes sure I have all the foods I need and pays for my gym membership but he is not trying to loose weight himself...
*
I just think it would be so much better if we were doing the same program and workng toward the same goal.* Be able to share our ups and downs together....I know realisticly its everyone for them self meaning don't depend on anybody else to get you thru this journey but to have that support would be wonderful.

Mine supports me and is there for me in everyway.* He does need to lose a little about 15 - 20 lbs and he just started to exercise on the treadmill.* He doesn't have to work as hard as I do and the weight will come off for him much easier than for me but he's there supporting me.* He doesn't eat around me if he has something after 6pm.* He's my little cheerleading!!

My gf is a size 2 and eats nothing but ding dongs, mac & cheese, and fried chicken all day long (just what you wanted to hear - right).
She's happy I've lost weight but she doesn't really have a frame of reference for supporting or understanding how hard it is to lose weight.
I haven't asked her to change her habits or do anything differently either.

Thanks a lot, Dan!!* That's just what we wanted to hear!* I wonder if it will be the same for her in a few years!
*
Micheal does support me.* He's always asking how I'm doing and*when we go grocery shopping, he helps me pick out food*that is best for me.* He*eats what I cook without complaint.**He doesn't like seafood...he would rather have beef than anything, so I cook that and just eat smaller portions. *When we go out to eat, he usually asks*what restaurants will be easier for me to pick the right foods.* He'll even jump in and tell the waiter/waitress that I don't want the sauces and such!
*
And he's always looking for ways to help me get in a little exercise when I'm up to it.

My husband does the best that he can, I think...
*
He has never had a weight problem so he doesnt really get the ups and downs...
*
He has started to do better now that I found this site...He doesnt like all the time I spend on here, but knows that if he cant give me what I need, I will go get it somewhere else...
*
He does work out with me now, and will eat whatever I fix, but still occasionaly tries to get me to eat bad...Not real sure why he does that...
*
He does try...And is happy for all the weight I lost, and is always proud of me, I think...but he sure doesnt get the emotional baggage attached with gaining and losing weight...

My boyfriend just kinda stands back and watches?* He doesn't try to get me to eat bad or anything, he eats where I want to eat, fixes healthier versions for me, or eats what I cook, but he doesn't work out with me or completely praise me either.. he is just neutral about it I guess.
He does tell me "Good job" when I tell him about my loss

My husband doesn't need to lose weight (he has the opposite problem... can't keep it on), he is very very supportive and wanted to go with me to the gym. But I didn't want him to go with me. I didn't want my husband to see me running or working out and being all sweaty and my body fat jigglin' everywhere. That's just how i am. That's why my gym buddy has about as much weight to lose as me... that way we are going through the*same things. I do go with my husband when he goes, but I don't work out. Lol. I know it sounds silly, but I'm weird like that.
Loads of Love,
~*Kris*~

My husband is supportive by constantly telling me how good I am doing and how great I am looking.**He is probably my biggest supporter in that regard.* *He really needs to loose around 55 lbs himself but just doesn't have the desire to do anything about it on*most days.* Sometimes he will get in the mood and do some pushups or ride a bike, then it's back to square one. He used to tell me that he didn't want to loose too much weight before me because he was afraid I would get depressed at how fast he looses it.* Well...I have almost caught up to his weight ..five more pounds to go...and he still isn't doing anything.* In fact, lately he has been downing a lot of candy.* He told me about a month ago that he is embarrassed when we go out because he feels as though people look at what I am accomplishing and look at him in dismay.* I have tried to tell him it's all in his head but it hasn't done any good.*

My dh wants to lose weight, needs to, but can't find the motivation to do it.* So its a struggle, he sometimes resents me that I am so successfull, but I have to be patient with him.* He did do it with me last year, and it was such a great experience doing it together.* I sure hope he does it with me again soon!
Tina
