Default Scared of this weekend!

This is my first week of eating healthy and so far I've done pretty good. The hardest part was not eating out. But i am so nervous about this weekend because for some reason i am more tempted on weekends. I dont know what it is but i associate weekends w/ eating unhealthy. My husband and i always ordered out on fridays. it has been my "day off". not to mention i have a birthday dinner for a good friend and as much as i tell myself that i will stick to my plan so many other times i gave in. I already noticed my old thinking like telling myself that I did good this whole week so i deserve to eat a cheeseburger or whatever. I really hope i stick to my plan!!!!

I hope you do too, but I always allow myself 1 day where I don't worry about anything (diet, exercise, ...etc). I don't purposely overeat or overindulge, but I don't monitor myself either. This works really for me. In the long term, 1 day a week won't impact your schedule and it gives something to look forward to (as a reward for all the hard work). Just a thought.

Hard as it may be....stick to your plan. Weekends are harder for me too because the whole family is home and we do tend to eat out at least once during the weekend. I choose unhealthy more than I have chosen healthy. At the point I am at right now...I want to steer clear of eating out.

Well time to start some new habits on the weekend. Try to plan some activities or projects to keep yourself busy that don't involve food. Good luck and Happy Birthday!!

What about half a cheeseburger . burger no cheese, or half burger no cheese, very small piece of cake? Sometimes smaller portions will suffice as you continue modifying your food intake. What do you think?

How about treating yourself to some decadent food or things that your budget wouldn't normally indulge in, but are still healthy,*as a weekend treat?* My weekend decadent treats when my husband and I go out are shrimp cocktail, boiled lobster, salad bars that have a great assortment of vegies that I normally wouldn't go to the trouble to fix (extra virgin olive oil and a good quality vinigar for dressing or a good quality diet dressing.) I'll order a glass of high quality wine versus the house special. Luckily, my husband doesn't really care about dessert but there are a bunch of special healthy treats to choose from.*Find one that you like and keep it just for the weekend.*One of my tricks when I feel my sweet tooth acting up is a hot cup of decaf coffee with equal, cremora and a teaspoon of Hershey's dark chocolate powder. Very low fat and very low calorie, but it gets me through the rough spots sometimes. Don't think of spoiling yourself with high-fat, high-calorie, instead opt for expensive and high quality. You deserve it!

I know how Alexia feels. This will be my first weekend since making the committment to be healthy. Weekends are usually full of lounging around and eating a lot. I guess I'll have to try very hard to break the pattern.
