That's a really cool way of getting yourself motivated.
I do something similar in that I meditate & do Yoga everyday and this provides a sort of 'internal cleansing' which helps me eliminate all my old habits, fears,....etc.
Each day is a challenge, but I find this amazingly helpful.

I decided to put this in the "Success Stories" because there are so few threads in that section.* I thought it would be good have a few more.
Two people had asked me about what happens/how you feel after you've lost a noticeable amount of weight and what you do to prevent falling back into old self-destructive behavior patterns.

I think this probably applies more to people who are/were overweight enough (myself included) that their weight was really impacting their lives (physically & mentally).

I have lost & gained back significant weight over the last 5 years at least three times.* This time I believe it's different.* All I do is ask myself* "What do you REALLY want" at least a dozen times a day, but especially when something happens that would otherwise trigger my old habits.* It's a simple, but very effective trick, because I force myself to answer it and then it becomes simple as to which course of action will give me 'what I want'.* For example, one of answers is "I REALLY want to be healthy and attractive" and I know my old habits won't give me this but my new habits will.*
Anyways, that's the biggest 'trick' I use to avoid falling back into old habits, just curious about what others have done / used to prevent 'falling off the wagon'

That is a great idea.* Sounds easy but by taking that small minute out and asking yourself that helps keep yourself in check.* Good idea and thanks.* I lost 65 lbs 3 years ago and didn't do that and found myself almost back where I was but I'm losing it this time forever.* I know I can do this!
