Well on my way! :)
I started my journey back to health a little over 7 weeks ago.* I am, by no means, finished my success story... but I'm having success along the way, so I figured I'd put it on here.
*
So far, I've lost 24 lbs, and 45".* That equates to*11.3% of body weight & nearly 4 points of my body mass index.
*
It feels really good to be making progress and not yo-yoing.* I'm losing an average of 3.4 pounds a week.* I'm doing it in a totally healthy way, so I don't have to worry about that being too soon, too fast.
*
Although I'm really happy with the weight*loss, I'm happier still that after suffering EVERY DAY since 29 February 2004, my back is no longer hurting!!* *I injured my back and I guess it never fully healed despite my weekly visits to the chiropractor since January 2005.*
*
Now I TOTALLY believe in having my spine adjusted on a regular basis, just like I believe in brushing my teeth on a regular basis... in fact it's even MORE VITAL to your health and well being.* However, I guess there was a missing aspect that I had yet to tap into.
*
Since I started this weigh loss journey I also no longer suffer from*chronic joint pain, the heartburn that plaqued me and hindered my workouts stopped as well as my compromising*flatuence.*
*
I don't see how I can place a price on any of those things.* So I won't try.* I'm just "SLAP HAPPY" that my health is improving*while I'm still working on the other 64 pounds I need to get off my backsides!
*
My most sentimental success is the decrease in swelling of my fingers.* I was getting ready to have to either resize my wedding rings AGAIN, or remove them permanetly.* I resisted resizing them since my 3rd daughter was born so that I could "loss the weight first."* But 2 years came and went and our 10th anniversary was approaching last summer, so I finally caved and resized them.*
*
Now, I'm getting ready to have to take them off (temporarily) again, but for a different reason.* They keep slipping around on my finger and getting in the way of typing, or whatever I'm doing!* It feels so good to be able to write that!* When it comes time to remove them, I will have them sized back down once I reach my target weight.
*
I'm also thrilled with my newfound energy.* I'm a pretty high octane person to begin with, but there were so many times I just had NO DRIVE to get up and do ANYTHING, so I did bare minimum.* Not cool!*
*
So the long and short of it is, I am well on my way to my final success (although I think I should make it clear that reaching my target weight is total a small aspect of it).* I recognize that it is an ongoing process to continue to better ourselves... spiritually, mentally, emotionally as well as physically.
*
I'm sincerely look forward to seeing us ALL cross the finish line!
Jenn
