Great insight Nikki!* I didn't think about the fact that the at home people might be cutting corners that they never could have gotten away with on the show.* Good job.*
I understood the resistence to the trainer.* When something works, we want to stick with it!* But in the end, I think she made the right decision going back to Kim and asking to be trained.* Think how great she'll feel after this.* *jelous*
All I could think was that if it was me going in there, I wouldn't let Bob decide who was being trained by who.* I'd get down on my knees and beg him to train me!* ** * He's awesome!

Gosh Do I relate to that!!* I have given up my whole life, and finally I got the help I needed to see what was "eating me" instead of what I was eating.* Its really not about the food for me, but acceptance and filling the void I had within me, and until I could really love myself, then I wasn't ever going to be successfull.* I have lost so much weight during my life, but when I "messed up" I had the black and white mentality of "I'M QUITTING!".* I've done this my entire life, but now I know that I have to keep it going.* Keep doing it.* If I have a setback, thats OK!!!* And look at how far I have come.* I am nothing but proud of myself.* DO I have bad weeks, YES, do I want to quit, YES.* Do I quit?* NO* Its not an option.* because I don't ever want to go back to the person I was a few years ago.* I was miserable and I had a lot of self hatred.* So keep doing it everyone, YOU are worth every second of it!!* Fight for yourself!
Tina

Default Finish What You Start.

Well, since a bunch of us fessed up to the fact that we love Biggest Loser, I thought we could share what we found motivating from last nights show.* There were two things that really stuck out to me.* #1 is that the at home contestants had lost a bigger percentage than the on air contestants (so, no more, they have trainers and hours to work out excuses from me!) and #2 Bob's disgust as the new contestants for not finishing what they had started with the challenge.*
I think it's so easy to fall into the "I can't do it" mindset.* How many of us have dropped out of challenges becuase we couldn't lose before the deadline or our fitness goals got messed up one week?* I*KNOW I've done it.* So, from now on, I finish what I start.
How about everyone else......?

I totally agree.* One - we can do anything we set our minds to doing if we want it bad enough.* How good do we feel when we've finished something?* I know I feel GREAT.* All those days that I didn't think I could do all 4 miles of my jog and wanted to stop before I was done - I would have felt bad if I did stop and didn't do all of it.* I could have used excuses as to why I didn't finish but honestly I would not have felt good.* But when I push myself and finish it, I feel GREAT and always was so glad that I pushed and did it!* It's always great to finish even if you think you can't do it.* WE are stronger than we think we are!

Well, I didnt catch the show, but I agree whole heartedly...
*
WHen that "finish what you start" attitude finally "CLICKS" you know you are on the home stretch. I know that now, but it took me two and a half years to get here...
*
Many starts and stops, but I never stopped trying...
*
SO LETS ALL GET GOING AND FINISH THIS JOURNEY!!!
*
Dawnie

I agree!!* We should all be more determined to finish what we start!!* (with the exception of food of course...we DON'T have to clean our plates like*some of us*were taught when we were little!!)
*
I know in years past I've given up much too easily and too quickly.* I've never stayed with a diet for more than a couple of months, mostly because I'd start gaining while on the diet.* But I know now (and I can admit) that maybe I just wasn't working on it hard enough and I probably didn't want it bad enough.* I want it now.* I want it really bad!!!* And I'm gonna finish what I've started, even if it takes me 3-4 years!!* It's taken me 6 months to lose 30 lbs, but at least I've lost that.* If I'd given up like in the past, I'd have gained that back plus!!
*
And another thing I've started that I'm gonna finish is BuddySlim.* I'm not gonna give up on my Buddies.* I may change diet plans, and we may move again, but I'll still be here.* As I told Dawnie, if I disappear, it's because something's wrong.* If I know I'm gonna be gone a few days, I'll let my buddies know.* And if*something beyond my control does happen, Micheal knows how to find my buddies and let them know.* I CANNOT desert my buddies.* You all mean too much to me.
