Yeah, the "finish what you start" thing REALLY stuck out to me too!! Another thing that got me was when Bob was talking to the new guy about his diet--saying it was too restrictive and he couldn't maintain it forever...then he said that anyone who goes on that type of diet WILL GAIN THE WEIGHT BACK! HELLO! That TOTALLY hit home with me. Do you all know HOW MANY diets I've been on just like that? I lose a bunch of weigh really quick, but as soon as I start eating "normally" again, guess what? I gain it back and then some. That's how I got up to 265 lbs.
Well, no more. I am SO glad that I'm doing it right this time. Sure, it's coming off more slowly, but THIS is real. Real weight loss, a real LIFESTYLE change. Lightbulb moment for me!Again, that is. I was really glad to hear him say that.
On a side note, I'd love to have Bob move in with me for a few months, lol...he's got a great trainer disposition. He's hard on his people, but he also genuinely cares about them. Wish I could afford to have someone come to my door and drag my butt out of bed every morning to work out, lol...none of my friends seem willing, lol...

You guys are going to laugh but what stuck with me was how human nature is designed to resist change (and this is why we probably lose weight so slowly).* I couldn't believe how the "on air" people were being so mean to the new competition (from jelousy and vanity).* And then the new girl's refusal to work out with Kim...what was up with that?!?!?* You get a FREE trainer and you won't even give it a chance?!?!?!* And for the good part...what stuck with me was (1) the at home people had enough dicipline and drive to lose more weight than people on the ranch and (2) even though the people on the ranch didn't lose as much as the at home people, the training and lifestyle was totally different because they had trainers teaching them to do it the RIGHT way like the importance of weight-resistance in any workout.* So the lesson is that if you're losing slower but getting stronger and eating more variety without depriving yourself....you're probably doing it right!!*
