I want to start a motivational thread to help me (and others) out when this battle seems too much to handle. Feel free to add to my list of "Why I want to lose weight" (with the understanding that losing weight won't make my life perfect, of course, but I just need a little reminder now and then that this struggle is worth it!).
Why am I here?
1. I want to be healthy.
2. I want to feel like an athlete.
3. I want to be able to shop at any store without having to look only in the "plus size" section.
4. I don't want to overpay for plus sized clothes anymore.
5. I want to be able to sit comfortably with my legs crossed.
6. I want to feel more attractive and confident with my body.
7. I want to be able to play with my daughter without getting tired.
8. I want to be able to walk up stairs without breaking into a sweat and feeling out of breath.
9. I want to be able to eat at a restaurant without fear of others looking at me to see what I'm eating.
10. I want to actually feel like being social and going out with friends.
11. I want to be able to work a full day and still have the energy to spend quality time with my family.
12. I want to have a healthy BMI.
13. I want to fit comfortably in booths at restaurants.
14. I don't want friends and family who knew me when I was thinner to look at me with pity or worry on their faces.
15. I want to be a success story.
16. I want to set a good example of a healthy lifestyle for my daughter.
17. I want to avoid all of the health problems associated with obesity.
18. I want to feel proud of what I eat and proud of the activities I can do each day.
19. I want to feel strong.
20. I'm tired of feeling tired all the time.
21. I want to go to the beach or pool and not have to wear a swimsuit with shorts and/or a skirt attached.
22. I want to be able to get in and out of vehicles with ease.
