Default Why is it?

Why is it I can help other people get on track but not myself?? I have great ideas and alot of knowledge and I can't seem to apply it to myself. Anyone else like this?

Yes I've had many a trip to the grocery store for junk I shouldn't eat. Its like once I snap its hard to turn back. I lost 50lbs about 2 years ago and slowly gained it back after there was a death in the family. Apparently I have no coping mechanism other than eating. Lets face the fact though... food is good and when I lost that 50lb I felt like something was missing from my life. And now I am just missing out because I refuse to let people that have seen me thinner see me like this. Ever feel like you just can't win. AAAhh!!

I am my own worst enemy. I have always been overweight, but sometimes less than others. I am at my biggest right now and I notice that I can't breathe after a flight of stairs, or even tossing in bed, my heart starts to beat faster. I have never felt these symptoms before, and I know now that my health is at risk. So, WHY can't I just walk by the candy bowl at work with out grabbing 4 peices at a time? Why can't I stop thinking about food? Why am I so hungry all the time. and why do I eat even when I am not? I am so disappointed in myself. I really need to turn this around. I have been asking my boyfriend to go to the gym with me, but he doesn't want to (and doesn't need to). I have lost touch will all of my friends. I get along with the lady's at the office, but that is not really a great source of support. I need a cheerleader. I need to get healthy and set a good example for my children. I need to like what I see in the mirror.

Hi Julie, I hear your pain! I've been trying to develop a nice, healthy lifestyle but binging on junk gets in my way. It is so frustrating. I feel so frumpy and my self confidence has hit a low. My boyfriend is too busy to work out and doesn't feel the need to eat healthy. He's in perfectly good shape with a very active job. We just moved to a new city and I don't know anyone, so I have to support myself. That's a good thing but it is always nice to have a friend that understands when you get a terrible craving. I'm sure you'll find your motivation. Feel free to get a hold of me if you're ever feeling an urge. Maybe it'll help it pass! You'll find what works for you so look up. Spring
