Arrow Tune swap - great music to get you motivated!

This might sound ridiculous, but I am COMPLETELY reliant on my iPod to get me through those treadmill/elliptical/stairmaster workouts, and I am SOOOoooo bored with my same old music that I waste half my time searching through playlists for a song that grooves rather than just getting down to getting the sweat going --

Here's 10 tunes that have worked really well for me in the past - maybe they're just what someone here is looking for - And will you guys post some of YOUR fave songs that I can try and see if maybe they can get my feet (and my heart rate) moving again?

1. "I Believe In A Thing Called Love" The Darkness
2. "Mis Colegialas" Crooked Stilo
3. "Supermassive Black Hole" Muse
4. "Canon In D (Pachelbel)" Michiel van der Kuy, Classical Cardio remix
5. "Stronger" Kanye West
6. "These Words (I Love You)" Natasha Bedingfield
7. "Take Your Mama Out" Scissor Sisters
8. "Such Great Heights" Postal Service
9. "Foundations" Kate Nash
10. "Black Sweat" Prince

*edit*
Hey I just figured out how to get mp3 clips on here from Amazon so you can hear bits of the tracks - sweet!
Thanks guys!

Hi! I use music as a major motivator for me as well. The playlist I listen to during my workouts depend on the mood I'm in really. If I'm feeling sad than I listen to more Boys 2 Men & such. If I'm in a really good mood I listen to my Rock playlist which consists of Bad Company, Motle Crue, Ozzie. Then theres my party list which is a lot of R&B or rock. Buckcherry is def my new fav! Katy Perry is awesome, Rhianna & others. Hope this helps..

I was planning on posting something like this on my blog this weekend. I go for songs that have a happy message to them along with a good beat because I want the song to help lift my spirit along with my body. :-)
Sometimes that is the only reason I keep going. Not all of the songs on my
MP3 player have that happy message but that's only because I am having trouble finding more. Here are some of my faves.

1 - Michael Buble - Feeling Good
2- 5th Dimension - Good Morning Starshine
3- Aerosmith - Sing For The Moment
4- Beatles - Here Comes The Sun
5- Beatles - Good Day Sunshine
6- Bellamy Brothers - Let Your Love Flow
7- Bob Marley - Three Little Birds
8- Bobby McFerrin - Don't Worry Be Happy
9- Carpenters - Top of the World
10- Chubby Checker - The Twist
11- Heather Small - Proud
12- Hermans Hermits - I'm Into Something Good
13- Katrina - I'm Walking On Sunshine
14- Madonna - Hey Mr DJ
15- Alan Jackson - Good Time

I never knew who he was until a couple months ago. I heard "Feeling Good" in a positive thinking YouTube video and I was hooked!
I havent heard any of his other songs. I'll have to check some out this weekend.

This is a great thread! I wish more people would add to it! I was looking for some music too, and a couple weeks ago I even posted a blog about it. Music pushes me threw my work outs (and I always tell my self I can go one more song towards the end) plus it makes the time more enjoyable and goes by much quicker. Some one suggested podrunner.com….. they have interval beats for walking/wogging/running…. the beat intensifies for short bursts, then backs down. Are you running or walking on your treadmill?? This will make a difference too. If you’re walking…look for songs that have between 130-135 BPM (Beats Per Minute). If you’re jogging…look for ones with 140-150 BPM. That was the advice I got! But I'd love to see more suggestions of songs listed!
