Default Help!

I've been walking daily since November 26, 2007 and haven't lost a pound! I'm up to 1.5 miles a day and about 35 minutes. I haven't changed anything with regards to eating, some days are good, others not so good. Has anyone else had this happen and how do you keep going after 11 weeks of no results?

Hi Andrea...how incredibly frustrating! Have you tried journaling your food to see how many calories you are actually consuming in a day. I work at Jenny Craig and sometimes we run into the problem that the activity is great and sometimes increasing however the # of calories isn't and you NEED the calories to get your body to lose weight. If you are eating too little in a day then your body is just going to hold onto the calories instead of shedding them. As well if you are doing the same routine everytime you could just be at an exercise plateau as you are used to doing the standard walk. Try adding hand weights (or those wrist ones) or ankle weights to your walk and keeping the same pace but I can't stress enough that you need to make sure you are eating the correct amount of calories in a day too!

Muscle weighs more than fat. Perhaps you have gained some muscle and burned some fat. If you really want to get weight loss going trying watching what you eat and when you eat it. I try not to eat past 6 pm. Give it a shot! Don't get frustrated!
