Default Old Skin

"It seems necessary to completely shed old skin before the new, brighter, stronger, more beautiful one can emerge....I never thought I'd be getting a life lesson from a snake."**** Julie Ridge

My question for the BuddySlim buddies is "What old skin do you have that needs to be sheded?"

Its funny you write this today. I have a few people in my life that I really feel are holding me down and right now I feel like I should do a housecleaning and get rid of anyone that is not my true friend or anyone who is just taking and not giving to a relationship with me. One of them is a friend of mine that had became my roomate. He recently lost his job and hasn't been providing to the household and instead of doing everything he can to find a new job, I feel like he is doing the minimum just so that I won't get on his a**. But part of what I have recently learned is that I'm not everyones Mom and that I need to take care of me first. So I know what I have to do but I will face financial hardship because I cannot afford this apartment right now by myself. And I'm angry at him for*putting me in this situation. So I think I would like to cut my losses and shed that skin. I also have a lingering ex-boyfriend who comes back about every six months with his best charm but I have already began shedding that skin. Thanks for the great quote Bernice. It really got the wheels turning!!!

That is a great quote. I just wish I knew how to do it!
