Question Parents' Health

Hi,

I'm new to this forum. So I apologize if someone has already covered this topic. I have successfully lost almost 50 lbs and I feel absolutely great compared to before. Anyway, everyone in my family is overweight to a point that I am concerned for their health. I am especially concerned for my parents. They are both getting up in age and I'm afraid they'll be dead before they can enjoy grandchildren. My point being, How can I help them successfully start some kind of routine that is healthier for them? I just don't want to make them feel bad about themselves but they know they're severely overweight and won't change anything. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Congratulations on your loss so far!

I think you may want to sit down and seriously have a heart to heart conversation with your family. Tell them exactly how you feel!

Encourage any healthy efforts they make. You can also invite them to fun activities that involve exercise. You can also cook for them to show them healthy recipes.

Maybe you could cook them their fav foods with substituting fatty ingredients for healthy ones. Then, they'll see eating healthy isn't so bad.
