Default cause God doesnt want us to overeat....

i think God wants us to be healthy and strong bodies.....
eating the proper foods will produce good results...

im finally getting the point about what God wants from us weight wise......everything in MODERATION......

no overeating in other words.......
so i think eating 1200 per day is a great guide line....NOT that whoever said that is God ...cause the Bible doesnt talk about how many calories everyone is to have.....
but at least someone was willing to research dieting a bit....

i used to wonder what God meant......i mean he doesnt have a specific plan for each of us.....

there are so many reasons to be healthy weight wise......sound mind sound body and that can only come from being the right weight for your size......

just my thoughts of the day.....

Moderation I have to work on that everyday. I look at things as black or white, all or none. Very hard standard. I'm afraid it comes for my religous up bringing in the 60's. Now I have learned about grace. I'm OK in God's eyes not mater what, but that doesn't give me an out not to take care of what he has given me. My body is one of those things

As a Christian, I agree because I think I am at my best for God and to express His love & mercy in the world to others through myself and my talents, etc., when I feel good about myself. When I don't, I hold back. That means: God gets less out of me. I (personally) hide inside myself more and focus on myself ("i look horrible today") v.s. outside focus (not thinking of me, just feeling good and energetic and out to serve with a smile!). Not good.

So, I really feel I also cheat God when "I cheat" (ie: eat unhealthy that leads to being overweight). That's me, though.

Hi John in San Antonio!! We're neighbors!

Love the topic.... Our body is our temple and a gift from God. We should be taking care of our earthly bodies while we are here. Blessings to all!

There is a book I have been reading but now I cant think of the name of it. Basically it says that we should ask God what he wants us to weigh. He will let us know what number he wants us to be at and then we need to pray and ask him how many calories to eat a day and he will answer that as well.
The book explains how we should diet for God and no one else b/c we dont want to let God down and we want to succeed for him. It also states that when tempted we need to pray about the situation and God will bring us through it.

When you ask God what you should weigh your supposed to have some christian friends pray as well for you and see if they get the same number that you did. Sometimes what we think is God really is us.
