Default Chronic Pain and fatigue

Due to my neurological condition, I am in constant pain and am very tired. I also can get socially isolated. Food keeps me going. I have trouble exercising consistently. How can I motivate myself to eat healthier?

I guess no one else has to deal with pain and fatigue. It does make it harder to lose weight.

You are not alone. I have the most unusually pains all the time and have lots of trouble getting to bed at night and then actually staying asleep. I tend to shut myself out sometimes and it does make dieting harder. I guess it is just one more struggle on the road to thin!!!! I am also having trouble at the moment with my hands which have been giving me alot of problems and pain. I have been wearing this brace thing for a month and have to go back to the doctor today. I just try to look at my ultimate goal and do my best to overlook the pain. I know that it can be hard sometimes but we just have to be strong and pull through it.

You dont have to start out exercising consistently! You can start 5 minutes at a time. 5 minutes is better than no minutes! As for food you can snack on carrots, broccoli, apples, pears; things like that instead of grabbing for those dreaded fattening snack foods!

Thanks for the encouragement and positive replies! I know that if I felt better that I wouldn't reach for the foods that give me a temporary boost.

Good luck Leah... I don't have a diagnosed neurological "condition", but between the weight and the depression, I have a hard time too. I'm always sore, and find it near impossible to get up and do anything - even things like dishes or sweeping. My house and my health are suffering I'm sure you can relate!

Cleaning is very hard. I have to hire someone to do most of it, even though it is not in my budget.
