Default What is yours?

Hi everyone! Just got to thinking about what motivates everyone to stay on track, eat healthy, exercise, etc. For me, I have a couple reasons. One is this summer. I've always felt self conscious in a bathing suit, shorts, tank tops, etc. I live in Maine, and we are pretty well known for our gorgeous coastline and amazing beaches and it would be so wonderful for me to go to those beaches this summer and actually feel good about myself. I grew up by the ocean, and I love swimming..so getting back into the ocean (and a swimsuit!) is a huge motivation for me. Another reason is my little nieces and nephew..I want to be happy and healthy and set a good example for them. And I want the energy to run after them!

Mine started out being my health...My parents are/were obese, diabetic, and all kinds of health problems...
My dad passed away in 03 at the age of 57...I decided then I didnt want to die...
My motivation has changed along the way...From wanting to look good in a certain size or a certain pair of jeans, to wanting to look good at a certain event...Wedding, vacation, etc...
I try to pick something new for every 2-3 month time frame...
My newest goal is my finish! I want to look SMOKIN HOT by my 35th birthday in May when I plan on having an 80\'s party...
How cool to actually be in the same size I was during the 80\'s!!! Thats my goal...We will see if it happens!

What motivates me? That\'s a hard one to answer.
My husband for one. He loves me the way I am, but he is very good to point out the changes he sees in me. We both love camping, amusement parks, and dancing, among other things. I\'ve not been able to do any of that in a while. I know that the more weight I lose, the more I\'ll be able to do. And I want him to be proud to be seen with me. He\'s a professional, and he deserves to be seen with someone that will impress people favorably.
My Buddies also motivate me. They are always telling me I can do this. This is the longest I\'ve ever held on without quitting, and a big part of it is my Buddies encouraging and supporting me. If it weren\'t for them, I probably would have quit a long time ago.
And my grandkids...I want to be around to watch them grow up.
I\'m also hoping that losing weight will ease the constant pain I feel. So that\'s also motivation.
Gee, that wasn\'t as hard as I thought!!!

My motivation is health! I just want to be fit and healthy! I want to feel good again and look good for myself!
Thanks for asking that question. It\'s good to have to think about something and put it in writing where you and others can see it!

The two biggest motivators for me is health and self-confidence. Exercise is the best preventative medicine ever, andI really need to love who I am inside and out. Have a ways to go with that one!

The way I feel about myself is what motivates me. I want to feel and look better! My husband also tells me that I am loosing and that makes me feel good. Looking better in my clothes is also a definate goal getter!

[FONT=\"Arial,]I\'ve always been motivated at my core by wanting to avoid the health issues that I\'ve seen so many people in my family struggly with. That, and I just admire people who are physically fit enough to have inner confidence and the guts to try new things without having to worry about whether or not they\'re physically able to do it. I want to be one of those people!
My secondary motivation in the short term is to look great for my wedding this summer! :-)

My motivation.

1. My family, Pretty much my entire family is large and seeing the health issues they have, and the tons of medication they have to take due to those health issues. I don\'t want to live the life of relying on medication.

2. I want to be able to go out and do ANYTHING I choose, and feel comfortable doing so.

3. My daughter - I want to set a good example for her, and teach her to be active and eat right, this way she will never waste her life the way mine has been up to this point... Luckily I\'m still young enough to lose the weight and make the best out of the rest of my life!
