Default RE: Goals & Roadmaps 2007

Ok here are my goals for 2007:
1. Exercise 3x a week, minimum, follow my food plan, drink my water, keep a personal trainer if we can still afford it!!! Be accountable, on here and with my girlfriends.
2. Join the accountability/weight loss group at my church which is starting in late January. Do all the studies, and attend all meetings.
3. Weight loss goal, I would like to be in the 160\'s sometime this year. I really don\'t have an ideal goal weight in my head, I would like to wear a size 10, so whatever weight that is I will take it!
4. Financially, my dh and I have a plan of action to get out of debt. We have been paying off debts like crazy in 2006, and we have only our Van payment left, and WHOHOO we have a goal of paying off the remaining 2 years in less than 1 year. After that, we are going to start up our reserve funds(3 months salary), then start back up into our IRA\'s. My dh is self employed so we have to contribute all of our own money. We made some stupid decisions with money the past few years, but we are cutting up our check cards and only using cash so we can\'t overspend. We are both compulsive spenders, so we want to get that under control. Its going great already! We\'ve been reading the Dave Ramsey book the \"Total Money Makeover\" its a must read!
5. Set up a scrapbook station in my house so I can start scrapbooking again. I haven\'t scrapbooked in over 1 year, and I don\'t want the memories to fade. SO I vow to have my workstation set up by the end of January!
6. Keep up with decluttering our home. We are donating lots of clothes and toys to the needy, and we are going to do spring and winter cleanings to go through things we don\'t need.
7. Be more patient with my kids and don\'t wish the years away! Its so hard sometimes, but I really want to enjoy their age \"now\" and now what I want them to be in a few years.
8. Visit my parents in their new home in Kentucky. Also plan a weekend away with my mom, meeting somewhere in between us for a girls weekend!
9. Invest even more in our church\'s small group that we lead in our home. Keep in better touch with our friends.
Ok so thats all I have now, its a lot! If i think of more I will add them!
Thanks for the thread!
Tina

Great to find this thread - just what I need!
My goals for 2007 are as follows:
1. Weight-loss. I want to break my weight-loss into 10lb increments. I have in the past found it easy to loose up to 7lbs at a time, but rarely gone past that point and then of course re gained.

In order to achieve my goal, in the month of January I will .....
: Track my food everyday (good or bad),
: Not eat any processed sugar
: Go to Curves every Monday, Wednesday & Fridays
: Walk home from work every Tuesday & Thursday in under an hour.
: Walk or go for an extra Curves session at least once over the weekend.
: I get measured on the 21st at Curves, I will post those mesurements on my blog, last month they were
Bust 45 inches
Waist 39 inches
Abdomen 45.8 inches
Hips 24 inches
Calves 16 inches
Arms 12.5 inches

2. Learn to accept my failings and rejoice in my achievements.

Ok. As promised, today is the 22nd day of the month, which means an update on my Goals for 2007 is in order.
First off, I want to congratulate Libby, Mary, Jessica & Kari on the progress they have been making! I hope this accountability thread will help us stay focused and on task through the year.
My first goal is weight-loss. In the last 3 weeks, I have lost 3.9 lbs. and 1 and 1/2 inches throughout my body. I have not tracked all my food and/or exercised at least 3 times per week as I set out to do. Partly because of illness in the last week or so. I realize I have to tighten up ship in this respect.
Second goal is money. I am happy to report that so far, I have adhered to paying myself first and then everyone else. I am right on the money (no pun intended) with this goal, setting aside into our savings account, $625.00 every two weeks. As long as life doesn\'t throw us a curveball, I am hopeful that I will reach my goal this year. In addition to my personal goal, DH set a money goal himself....by the Summer, he wants ALL our bills paid off. So every month, we\'ll be paying off a credit card. We are starting off with the card with the highest interest and working our way down! I\'m very excited about this goal, because I know the reward will be for us to sleep better at night, once all the credit cards have been paid off!!
Third goal, AIDS Marathon Fundraiser---I have ordered a Valentine\'s Basket from a friend, which I will raffle off at work, and I will then make the proceeds grow. I have a car wash in mind for when the weather warms up and a lot of different projects. Maybe a casino night at the house one evening, and also a silent auction. What do you guys think of all this? I welcome any and ALL ideas. Ah...I\'m also going to have my friend make me a WeightWatchers basket, so I can raffle that off at my meeting!!
Goal # 4, was to declutter---I am happy to say that I have not attended any family function I did not feel like attending. I know it\'s only been three weeks, but I have a big family and already we\'ve had a few birthdays. On the material clutter, I have been less productive. I really need to get it together and start taking some things down to the Salvation Army by month\'s end!
And finally, this goal I added last, as an afterthought which was inspired by my dear friend Mary. I\'m always so happy to hear about her and Michael\'s love escapades and I think that part of the reason my marriage has become dull is because DH and I have stopped dating! I complain that we don\'t go out enough and yet, don\'t do anything about it. SOOOOO, inspired by my wonderful friend Mary, I have decided to go out on a date with my DH at least once per month. We haven\'t gone on our date this month yet, but I\'m thinking Friday evening.
Ok buddies, this is my first monthly report. Feel free to comment. You know your input is very much appreciated!

Ok, I already reported to Jo, via e-mail, but here it is for all to see...
1. My first goal is get down to 300 lbs by Memorial Day. I don\'t know how much I\'ve lost since first setting out on this, but this past week I have stayed on program, and plan to keep it up. I don\'t have access to a scale here so will weigh when we get home the first weekend in February.

2. I will continue to walk as much as possible, whenever possible. If I\'m able to increase without causing me a lot of pain, I will. I have been going out walking at least 3 or 4 times a week.

3. I will continue to try to give everybody as much support and encouragement as I possibly can. I can only say I hope I\'m being supportive and encouraging. At least I\'m trying.

4. Micheal and I have decided that at least once every month, we will buy a toy to give to Toys for Tots. We haven\'t done this yet, but it will happen.
