Default Not weight related... What are some of your Christmas Traditions?

I was wondering... what are some of your family's traditions at Christmas? My family decorates together, my parents ALWAYS put a pencil in every one of their kids' stockings, my extended family on my mom's side always gets together on Christmas Eve and exchanges gifts, make and decorate sugar cookies, and go Christmas Caroling in the neighborhood. What are some of your traditions??
Love,
Kris

My parents always have us come over on Chritmas eve to open presents and have Christmas dinner that way we can spend Christmas day at home with our kids.** We always decorate the tree together with Christmas music playing in the background and a fire in the fireplace.*** Me and the kids always make chocolates to give out to family as presents...

Ohhhhh I am getting excited...I can't wait!

Micheal and I have only been married 5-1/2 years.* Between us we have 6 kids and 10 grandkids with the 11th due in January.* Every year I make Christmas ornaments for the kids, grandkids, my dad and Micheal's mom.* Sometimes I'll buy ceramic ornaments that I paint and put everybody's names and the year on.* Sometimes it's ready made ornaments.* If they're metal, I'll etch the names and year on them,* otherwise I'll paint it on or use colored Sharpies.
*
When I was a kid, we didn't really have any traditions.* We would have our Christmas at home on Christmas morning and*at my grandparents on Christmas Eve.* Grandmother always made hot chocolate from scratch.
*
After my sisters and I were all married, we*would have*breakfast on Christmas Eve at our parents house.* They still do that, but I haven't been able to be there the past 7 years.* I have been there for Christmas, but not for Christmas Eve breakfast.
*
Micheal and I spent the past 2 Christmas' in hotels, so we're gonna enjoy this Christmas at home.

On Christmas Eve, all of our family (parents, aunts & uncles) go to*our Grandparents home and exchange gifts.* Afterwards, the whole extended family comes and we eat wonderful appetizers and catch up on the year.* I read the story Alabaster's Song to all the little children.** Then my family goes to spend the night with my parents.* When there is little children, my brother dresses up as Santa and we wake the child and tell them we see Santa and take them to watch as he puts presents under the tree.* On Christmas morning we all get up to see what's in our stockings...yes...even adults!* ha ha** Then we open our gifts.** My Mom always has a breakfast casserole for all of us to eat and it is great!* Everyone goes to get dressed and of course the children are busy checking out all of their cool gifts.* For lunch we go to the other set of Grandparents and eat.* We always have a cake that says, "Happy Birthday Jesus" to remind us what Christmas is all about.** Basically, the whole day is filled with visits, gifts, and food.*

My mom makes the best scrambled eggs in this world, and even though our family is spread over the country and Japan, she still has brunch for me!!!

We exchange gifts on Christmas early morning with my family, then mid afternoon with the inlaws. We also like to keep out tree up until the 6th of the January, coinciding with a holiday in Mexico.Traditionally,we make tamales on Christmas eve, like when my grandmother made them for the family as a child, but this year will be my first attempt to do it on my own! I want to have a traditional Mexican Christmas. We do have stockings and a tree, and decorations inside, but not outside. Oh,and I LOVE sending Christmas cards.

This year I started an advent calendar for my kids, and its so much fun! One of the days we decorated my kids rooms for christmas, talk about a blast! Lights all over, decorations, snowmen, fun fun fun! Today is red and green day, so we all have to wear red and green, eat red and green stuff, and we\'ll see what else we can come up with for red and green!
Tina
