as i was going thru the forum i remember this group...i am a fat woman who feels like a thin girl...i am beginning to see my pants getting bigger on me...i am 49 years old but i feel like if i were 25 if it was not for my knee pains i would feel 21...lol...i see myself being thin for the first time in my life...i am so on my way to being what i want to be...this is the first time in a long time that i feel like i can do this...most important...I KNOW...i can do this...i am so tired of bying clothes at lane bryants or looking for the plus size department...i am thin inside and now i need to be thin on the outside too...this website has brought me to a lot of you guys who are having the same problem as me...i dont know how i found it...all i know is that after having a horrible weekend on monday april 27 i said no more fat...i dont want to be this way and as i was looking online i really dont know how this site popped up on the screen and it has been my salvation....i have never to this day gone over my allowed calorie intake and i have been doing my exercises faithfully...i have had cake on my sons birthday but since i planned it i made sure my calories were really low that day so i would have a small piece of cake...not the whole cake like i would have done any other time...the thing is that i am feeling really good about myself...my face is the first thing that is showing i am losing weight...it always does the same thing...wish it was my hips...lol...but i am ok i will lose what i need to lose by next year there should be a new me....with the help of you guys...thank you!!!

hey vivian, I think your last entry sums up all of us in this group. We all see ourselves as the slim, healthy people we want to be and we are finally starting to get closer to it!!

hi girls

i know all of our skinny little girls are going to be running around here . i have notice i'm looseing in inches more than in weight.
i put on a pair of pants the other day to go to town and before i left the house i had to change because they were falling down. i should have pay it some attention earlier, when i went to the bathroom and just pull them down.without thinking. the thing was they button and swip up.
so i don't worry as much any more if the scale dont move. as long as the inches are coming off and my body is toneing up.

food intake today was.....
2 slices veg. fiber wheatbread
1/4 cup pimento cheese
double cheeseburger
small fries , ketchup
roasted chicken
seasones fries..ketchup
small sweet pot. pie
slice carrot cake i shared with my 4 dogs

i usually share all my food i take in with my 4 inside dogs. so i don't take in alot of my calories thanks to them.


exercise....

30 wall pushups
150 body shaper stepper
100 arm scissors
100 side twist
20 side bends
100 straight arm circles
100 each arm hanging circles
100 thigh toners
50 chicken flaps
20 leg lifts
did hula hoop some...still learning it lol
walk today @ big lots, roses, dollar tree

Hi everyone and thanks to Gwen for telling me about this group! I'm here to let my positive self out. I spend so much time putting myself down of just being negative when it comes to my, how I look, my slow weight loss, etc. I'm trying to be more positive but it's a work in progress. I know I'm now doing the right things, eating within my points (I'm doing Weight Watchers--weigh in is on Saturdays--I'll let you know how I make out tomorrow) exercising 4-5 days at the gym (aerobics and weight resistance classes), but I still feel like I'm not losing quick enough! I know I didn't gain this extra weight over night but I still want it gone over night, why is that? lol

Also, I had a great dinner last night, seared red snapper, and roasted asparagus with balsamic browned butter, it was delicious and extremely low in calories and fat. I will post the recipes later when I get to work. Have a great day and I look forward to getting to know you all better and perhaps make some buddies!!

glad you found us. my weight has been staying around 195-200 pounds. can't seem to get it pass 195. so it is moving slow on this end also. but i'm just taking it one day at a time.
Cynthia , don't never put yourself down, you are a beautiful person, you stand talk and proud of who you are. i know it is hard, but each day you get up ,look in your mirror and say, i'm a beautiful person and i love me. and i look good. it will help . just take it one day at a time. WE CAN DO THIS TOGETHER AS A FAMILY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

food intake for today was....

1 pkg. hoodia to go drink mix
1 slim fast optima bar oatmeal raisin
wendys small chilli
18 - small all -bran muli grain crackers
3 pizzas.......made with ..whole wheat tortillas
roasted chicken , 1/4 c. shredded natural cheese, 3 tbsp. bacon bits, 1/4 c. pizza quick rague sauce
it was a little high in calorie,,,770 cal,27.8 fat, 34 carbs, 54.5 protein

1 c. pralines n cream ice cream

total.....1663 calorie, 58.8 fat, 158 carbs, 84.5 protien

exercises.....
30 wallpushups
100 body shapeing stepper
70 ab swing
5 minutes twisting
100 arm scissors
100 thigh toners
20 seated leg lifts
20 each arm..3 lb. weights arm circles
100 3 lb weights throwing back and forth
20 arm curls 3 lb. weights
20 each arm 3 lb. weights stretches 2 sky
50 side twist
treadmill.....20:05 minutes, 77.6 calorie, 9.7 carbs, 0.653 distance

Welcome to the group Cynthia happy you have joined us. How did the weigh-in go? Don't worry that it is coming off slowly, it is coming down that is all that matters, you should be proud of yourself

Definitely post those recipes - that roasted asparagus sounds especially appealing to me!!

My last exam is tomorrow then Gwen so I was thinking do you want to start setting some challenges from Wednesday?

How about this wed we do 30 mins on the treadmill? and of course anyone else is very welcome to join us!!

To be honest guys my eating hasn't been great lately - I need to make sure I stick to my meal plans properly but it's been tough. I really think starting regular exercise will help a lot though cuz it will be extra motivation to stay away from chocolate cuz I will want to avoid undoing my good work!!

I am going to start swimming soon - gonna go twice a week for an hour each time. Mondays 10:50am-12 is ladies only so gonna go 11-12, then thurs evening ladies only 9-10pm and when my friend beth finishes college for summer she is gonna start coming with me on the thurs. Tues evenings, Wed and Fri mornings I want to do at least 30mins on either the treadmill or exercise bike. Then when I go to my boyfriend's on alternate Saturdays we will go bike riding, and most sundays I will go for a walk with my mum.

I have decided to miss my weigh-in tonight cuz my mum has gone away this week with some friends so we will both go to the group next week and stay for the meeting. I will plan out all my meals tonight and STICK WITH THEM!!

I MUST GET BACK ON TRACK!!

Hope you guys are doing better food wise. Any tips for avoiding unhealthy snacks?

sure i will start walking on the treadmill wed. how many days do you want to do it. are we going to do it everyday. for a week at a time. or every other day. let me know how you girls want to do it ok.

Hi all. My name is Angi and I am 30 years old and a wife and mother of 2. I have about 30 pounds left to lose in my weight loss journey. I am looking to join a group to get a little motivation. I am interested in others challenging me to do better. I have lost 19 pounds prior to joining buddyslim and seem to have hit a wall. I have only lost an additional 5 pounds since joining over a month ago. I have some hormonal problems so this makes is very difficult for me to lose weight at all, but I am trying really hard and am seeing slow but solid results. Please let me know what challenges you are having so that I can push myself to lose more weight.

welcome to our family. glad to have you with us.
hi Marie...don't know what all kind of challenges we are having yet.
i think it would be good if we all pitch in with some challenges. that way we can sign up for as many as we want.
we can push each other on our challenges.
i look forward to seeing what all we come up with.
i know some don't have exercise equitment. but i know we can come up with some different challenges to push us.
lets start listing these...
i'll send out a post on the blogs see if anyone else wants to join us.
envite all your friends. i'll check back in later today i need to run my sisters birthday present to her and check up on my uncle.
we are going to have fun.
