What are your favorite diet friendly restaurants? Where do you most like to eat at where you won't blow your diet but will have a great meal? My choices are :
Breakfast - Since they added the light breakfast it works for me
Lunch - Subway - The under 6 grams of fat sandwiches all rock.. I eat there almost every day for lunch...
Dinner - Applebees - I love the weight watcher menu..* Wish more restaurants would do that!!

Let's hear yours!

Scott, you didn't say where for breakfast.
Yeah, I like Subway and Applebee's.* And I also like any place where I can get grilled salmon and a baked potato!* I always ask for the salmon to be grilled plain or blackened.

HAH! Is there truly such a thing as diet freindly?
I will take Applebees too. Their Weight Watchers menu is a God send...They get a giant gold star...
I like Max and Erma's. They have pretty decent salads that just need some tweaking to make diet friendly...
And I have previously mentioned the Naked Tenders at B-W-3's are really really good and are very diet friendly...
For fast food, I would have to go with the McDonalds Salad...I love that they use the Newman's dressing and really a large portion too for the money...
And I think Jared ought to pay you royalties since you go there so often!
Dawn

Of course I love Applebees...and for fast food, Taco Bell and Wendy's are great with some yummy low-point choices. Really, though, I feel that I can go just about anywhere and eat healthy. For me, it's a matter of making healthy choices--and I am doing this new thing where I check the menu BEFORE I go to the restaurant, have a tiny snack before (like a bit of soup--I like Soup at Hand because the veggie beef only has one point) to make sure I don't go in starving, then I decide what I'm having before I even go in. I know this isn't always possible, but if it's not, I can usually make a "sort of" decision before I go even if I don't have the menu. And guess what, you don't always have to eat just salad. There are some good secrets out there--for example, a half cup of chili only has four points and is super filling. Okay, I'll stop babbling now, lol.

Be careful of those salads at McDonalds.* For those that have to watch their sodium, it is very high in the salads and the dressing.* For their new Asian salad*with Grilled Chicken, it *has 890mg of sodim and the sesame dressing has 680mg of sodium. .* I had to stop eating their salads because I would get headaches afterwards from all the sodium.* If you don't add chicken to your salad, it cuts your overall sodium consumption*by more than*half.
Red Lobster has a fairly decent Litehouse selection on their menu now.**IHOP has added a few options as well.* You have to ask for the "special" menu though.* It isn't placed on the table with the others.

Angie-
You are so right. I do that too! I almost ALWAYS check out the menu and points/calories before I go...
Almost every place has a website these days. It really helps to be prepared. I find I am much more focused and am not as easily swayed to go for the giant greasy burger...
Actually, I find myself craving the salads and the healthier items these days anyway...
Dawn

Hi Guys,
I found a website that has an eating out menu and lists different*restaurants
and the Weight Watcher point value for various dishes.
Before i go out to eat i make a printout for the restaurant i am going to.
This is a great website(Weight Watchers oriented).
Dining Out Guide with Weight Watcher Points, eat right & lose weight!
Enjoy!
Nan
