Default best meal replacement drinks?

Anyone know any good meal replacement drinks that are low in calories? Have they worked for you? Thanks. xxxx

Talking Re: best meal replacement drinks?

I would recommend using a whey protein shake for a meal replacement. It's much better for you than a slimfast or anything similar to a slimfast shake because those drinks have a lot of sugar in them. I use ON Gold Standard 100% Whey Protein. It only has 1 gram of fat, 30 mg of cholesterol, 60 mg of sodium, 3g of carbs, 1g of sugar and 24g of protein. Oh yeah, 120 calories per serving. Compare it to slimfast. You can mix it with milk or water but I use water. I bought mine from bodybuilding.com (this will not bulk you up). They have a lot of different flavors to chose from also. I was pleasantly surprised by the taste when I used with skim milk for the first time. Now as for water, the taste isn't horrible, but it did take me a few times to adjust to the taste. Eventually I look at it as I'm drinking/eating to fuel my body and look foward to the results I will get from the product than the taste....that's just my two cents though. Hope this helps!

I personally like SlimFast because it has 5 grams of fiber, which is important so you're not immediately hungry 20 minutes after you've had your meal replacement drink.
Like the person above me said, they have a lot of sugar, but it is only 180-190 calories in a can.

maybe it's the way I use it... I use it as a "snack".. I work a 5 hour shift with no break.. so midway through it I drink the slimfast so I'm not ravenous after my shift. It really helps me control my appetite.
I don't really think it's fair to think of SlimFast as a meal as it only has 200 calories in it. 200 calories doesn't make a meal imo.

I recently started drinking something I call James Ray's Breakfast Shake. (I read about it in “Harmonic Wealth” by James Ray) There is actually a whole section on the physical body and he offers up some great ideas that have worked for me.

One of those is starting off the day with a glass of water with lemon and then making my first meal a green shake. Yep, veggies for breakfast. Still doesn’t hit the spot like a pile of pancakes, but I’ve lost seven pounds in the last month and a half and my skin is looking a lot brighter and clearer. Good luck and God bless!
