Default Tofu..

I was wondering if anyone has tried Tofu? I've never tried it, but am interested in trying it. My husband says it would taste like paper, but i'm not sure. I am wanting to become a Veggie, but it's hard to do because I love chicken. Also where can I find Tofu? ..

A lot of people love tofu because it does not have a taste of its own, but soaks the taste of other foods it is cooked with. Personallu, yeah, I like it, but it\'s not as if I can\'t tell I\'m eating it. Maybe try it japanese style (it sorta tastes like egg) Tofu recipe - fried tofu recipe - Tofu - Japanese food
If you can find a pad thai style dinner with tofu (its sorta sweet) you may like it also. I hated it upon first tasting but then I got addicted. weird huh

I enjoy tofu IN things, because yes, it takes on teh flavors of whatever you are cooking it with...It adds texture to dishes....

I personally don\'t care much for plain tofu, too bland, but here\'s the thing - smoked tofu has character! It has the same calorie count as the plain one and is delicious in sandwiches or salads - and the best thing - tastes likes smoked chese and a little bit goes a long way. Besides spicing up something like a tomato salad, I also use it on my steamed veggies sometimes. Or I take a bowl of cooked (stil hot) potatoes or green beans and just tear apart a piece of smoked t over it and mix it up. Not too bad....
