10/19/09 was day 1 of what I call my "mommy makeover." I am not only changing my diet but also trying to change my attitude and out look on life. I am aming for a better health both physical and emotional. Day one went well and resulted in a loss of 3lbs. I was shocked.
I woke up had a cup of hot water with 1/2 a lemon and 1tbs of honey. (I dont like coffee or tea) Drank this to fill up so I wouldnt over eat. Then about 30minutes later I had breakfast; a *Schwan's Garden Omelet. It was really good. Since it was frozen I was very surprised. But it had lots of flavor and I was really impressed.
At work I drank water all day. This is really hard for me because I HATE water. Also being addicted to Dr. Pepper (I used to walk into work at 9am with a full 44oz that would be gone by 1:30) Then I would stop and get another on my way home that would last me until dinner; at which I would have a 12oz can. Totaling at least 100oz a day! About 11:30 I could feel the headache coming. I decided to have my snack; frozen mixed berry blend from Schwan's. OMG they were awful.
My test of the day- my grandma picked me up from work since she was watching my son; with McDonalds. The french fries smelled so good. But I resisted and waited until we got home to eat anything. For lunch I warmed up a Weight Watchers Smart Ones (the ones from HEB) It was the Lemon Herb Chicken Piccata, I didnt like it. So one bite later I threw it away and warmed up another. This time it was Chicken Carbonara. It was so good. And only 5points. I also allowed myself to have 1/2 a can of Dr. Pepper with lunch. Boy did I make it last, sipped it like an expensive wine. LOL
For dinner I made *Schwan's Oriental Beef and Broccoli with Rice. My hubby liked it, but it was a bit spicy for me and too spicy for my son. However it was good. I gave my son some rice and meat sticks instead. I allowed myself to have the other 1/2 of my Dr. Pepper from lunch. For dessert they had ice cream and I had 1/2 cup of Schwan's* Strawberry Supreme Frozen Yogurt. We were done eating by 7:30pm.
I went to sleep at 9:30pm instead of 1 or 2am. I woke up this morning feeling well rested and ready to start my day. Stepped on the scale to fine a loss of 3lbs! Hooray for me

Motivates me to keep going.
