Smile Kayla's Mommy Makeover

10/19/09 was day 1 of what I call my "mommy makeover." I am not only changing my diet but also trying to change my attitude and out look on life. I am aming for a better health both physical and emotional. Day one went well and resulted in a loss of 3lbs. I was shocked.

I woke up had a cup of hot water with 1/2 a lemon and 1tbs of honey. (I dont like coffee or tea) Drank this to fill up so I wouldnt over eat. Then about 30minutes later I had breakfast; a *Schwan's Garden Omelet. It was really good. Since it was frozen I was very surprised. But it had lots of flavor and I was really impressed.

At work I drank water all day. This is really hard for me because I HATE water. Also being addicted to Dr. Pepper (I used to walk into work at 9am with a full 44oz that would be gone by 1:30) Then I would stop and get another on my way home that would last me until dinner; at which I would have a 12oz can. Totaling at least 100oz a day! About 11:30 I could feel the headache coming. I decided to have my snack; frozen mixed berry blend from Schwan's. OMG they were awful.

My test of the day- my grandma picked me up from work since she was watching my son; with McDonalds. The french fries smelled so good. But I resisted and waited until we got home to eat anything. For lunch I warmed up a Weight Watchers Smart Ones (the ones from HEB) It was the Lemon Herb Chicken Piccata, I didnt like it. So one bite later I threw it away and warmed up another. This time it was Chicken Carbonara. It was so good. And only 5points. I also allowed myself to have 1/2 a can of Dr. Pepper with lunch. Boy did I make it last, sipped it like an expensive wine. LOL

For dinner I made *Schwan's Oriental Beef and Broccoli with Rice. My hubby liked it, but it was a bit spicy for me and too spicy for my son. However it was good. I gave my son some rice and meat sticks instead. I allowed myself to have the other 1/2 of my Dr. Pepper from lunch. For dessert they had ice cream and I had 1/2 cup of Schwan's* Strawberry Supreme Frozen Yogurt. We were done eating by 7:30pm.

I went to sleep at 9:30pm instead of 1 or 2am. I woke up this morning feeling well rested and ready to start my day. Stepped on the scale to fine a loss of 3lbs! Hooray for me Motivates me to keep going.

*All of the Schwans food is from the Live Smart line.

Unhappy 10/20/09 Day 2

This morning I had a loss of another pound. Today has been a bit harder for me. I didnt work and was at home all day. Closer to food and time to eat it. However I feel like I did well. Still not much exercise, but I am working on it.

Talking 10/21/09 Day 03 Report

Ok so since reading my post I noticed I have been stating things backwards. Instead of posting my weight then the food from the previous day it should be reversed.

Angry A Hiccup and Minor Set Back

Great its that time of the month again! I can feel the weight coming back on. Today I completely lost it on the food. We will see what the results are in the morning when I weigh in.

I have decided that I am only going to weigh myself daily for this first week, then it will only be once a week.

Unhappy 10/22/09 Day 04 Report; Just as I thought

Just as I thought, my time of the month comes along and blows my entire week! Not to mention I went way over on calories. Weighed in at 172 this morning. So I added 2 pounds! Hello I'm suppose to be going the other way please! Ugh...oh well. I will have to do better today. I want to make my 6lbs by Halloween

10/23/09 Day 05 Report

Ok so I was a bit ticked off; after I ate the omelet I noticed I read the package wrong. I has 210 calories not 140! Oh well it was still a good breakfast. Oh and I probably didnt even eat 1/2 the sweet potatoe fries. They needed salt and I figured it wouldnt be good to eat them all covered in salt. Over all it was a great day & a good loss. LOOK NO SODA TODAY. And no headaches either!

Resulted in a morning weigh in of 169.8! Hooray; but the weekend is here. I will have to work extra hard to stay on track. Holy Cow I didnt know the soda made that much of a difference!

Red face Day 04 (10-24-09)

10/24/09 Day 06 Report


Ok so the weight has been coming off yet I feel really drained. I learned that its really bad to go below 1200 calories a day. Oops I was trying to stay at 1000. My newest goal is to start taking a Multi-Vitamin everyday and keep my calorie intake right at 1200. Thanks ladies for enlightening me

I didnt make 1200 calories today but am closer than 900 was last week. Today resulted in a .6 of a pound loss. Weighed in at 169.2. not bad.

went to the in laws and they had pizza; but I cut up 1-1/2 slices so I filled up faster. I would think it was a healthy choice. Plus I had water and no chips or dip.

Ok so today is the last time I weigh myself daily. From now on I will just weigh in once a week on Saturday mornings. I have made my goal of 6lbs by halloween! The question is can I keep it off? Time will tell.

Default 10/26/09 Day01;Week02

I have no weight to report since I am going to start weighing in once a week on Saturdays. Plus we had lots of rain and our window leaked and my scale is broke. I was short on calories so I had a part of brownie, it put me over 1200but still under 1500!
