Default 2009 Is My Year!

My personal diary of my ups and downs of this weight loss journey.
I'm excited to finally decided that this is the year I make goal weight. With a lot of hard work, commitment, discipline, and support... I can do it!

Over the last two years I have been able to take off 32 pounds and keep it off to this day. I'm happy about that but not happy that it could have been more if I had really put my all.

This time I will. I'm going to start off by starting my WW points system again, this seems to work well for me. Along with counting calories. And workout out 3-5 days a week.

Well started out late but still managed to get to the gym. Did 1 hour of cardio/weights interval training. Pretty good calorie burn!

Talked to my sister last night and she told me how good she is doing on the low carb diet. Already lost 15 lbs in one month. So okay, I'm jealous but I think it also helped to get my motivation back.

I wonder how much it will work for her since she is not working out and it is a hard diet to keep up with in the long run. I guess we'll wait and see. I personally don't like any diets, I just eat small portions of mostly veggies, fruit, whole grains, and lean proteins. It's a lifestyle I can stick to. Sure its a slower weight loss, but I have found it to be a more permanent weight loss too.
Well, now just to make sure to control my eating for the rest of the day.... should be okay.
So far so good:

Breakfast:eggs, oatmeal, coffee
Lunch: baked fish, peas, brown rice
Dinner: brown rice, baked chicken, asparagus
Snack: ranch chips, banana (chips not soo good) Approx. Calories: 1800

WORKOUT: 1 hour interval

I'm feeling much better today. Got out early this morning to take the boys out for the free grand slams at Denny's. Was busy all day and didn't have much time to snack but did eat okay.

Got a great haircut this afternoon. So glad my Erica was there, she knows just what to do with my wig =)

Breakfast: Denny's Grand Slam, it was FREE! (only ate 1/2 pancake), coffee 600 calories
Lunch: Leftover baked chicken, peas, asparagus, baby tomatoe, brown rice. 450 cal
Dinner:
Snack: Sliced Cucumber with lemon

WORKOUT: 40 min cardio only interval run/jog.

Seems to be working out! I lost 1.5 pounds this week! I'm just eating less bread and mostly veggies, fruit, and lean protein. I have also increased my water intake and kept up with my vitamins.

I worked out 4 days this week and I"m feeling pretty good. I have managed to keep my sweet tooth in check by eating fruit and drinking tea. Helps alot. My portions are "okay" I can work on that better this week. But I will continue with the NO BREAD thing and just get my carbs from veggies and fruit.

Well I came down with cough and cold.... AGAIN! I just got rid of on in Jan and here I am suffering again. Hate it but oh well. Today I did get in a hard 20 min Jillian Michaels shred workout. Was so hard as am feel so weak and tired. But did it anyway. Its my first workout this week since last Friday.
My aunt challenged me to a 5 lb weight loss this week, I don't know if I can do it, but I will do my best and see what comes out. I hope I feel better tomorrow. I 'm gonna shower and go look for something romantic for my hubby on Vday. I could totally use a nap...lol

Friday the 13th....

Not that scary to me since I'm not very superstitious, but never the less... it's the 13, a great night for spooky movie and some popcorn. Lite popcorn..lol

I had a good day yesterday, stayed within the foods I'm allowed to eat and did manage to walk/run 2 miles even being sick. But man was I ever tired. Didn't sleep well last night, and I think I'm gonna take a break from working out today to give my body some rest in hopes that I can get over this cold sooner.
