Question Going to bed hungry

Ok, I am new here so this is one of my first posts and I would appreciate any feedback! Anyway, I have found that if I go to bed hungry that this will help enormously in my en devour to lose weight, however it makes it nearly impossible to sleep!! Not only because my stomach is empty but also because I am prescribed a medication (for anxiety et all) that I have to take before bed that also aids in getting me a good nights sleep.
Before this medication, I had massive sleeping issues. Here's the rub, I need to take it WITH FOOD, yes, not only is it prescribed that way but it doesn't work if I don't (it has something to do with the way food mixes with and aids in the absorption in the blood stream, scientific stuff). So, what on earth do I do about that?? I have tried just taking it with milk, but to no avail. Anyone else out there have any similar problems, or just have trouble sleeping if going to bed hungry? Any good suggestions??

i've heard that oatmeal is good before bed. or a banana. not sure if that'll help. turkey, too is supposed to help with sleep. there are some homeopathic sleep aids as well as things like melatonin. not sure if those would help but you could ask your doc/therapist. good luck - no sleep is no fun!

I can never sleep if I go to bed hungry, so I have some low calorie soup before I go to sleep. Yes, it's no exciting but it has lots of vitamins and ensures that I can get a good night sleep.

I have some recipes for low calorie soup. If you want I can post them.

Hope you find a solution soon!

You could always try eating celery or something else with a negative calorie effect.
