It's a great question, but it's so relative. I am a pear shape and even when I was my lightest (118) I was still floating between a 6 and an 8 depending upon the jean company. Right now I fit fairly comfortably in one pair of 8s whereas I can barely fit, let alone button, another pair of 8s by the same company, but a different style.

I was reading the other posts and it seemed like (if their goal weights would get them into the size jean they are mentioning) a lot of people would already be very comfortable in a size 8 at my current weight and at 5 pounds lighter they'd be comfortable in a 6. I know that I will be stuck with my one set of 8s and flirting with the 10s until I get down at least another 10 pounds (currently at 144).

Such a fun question! I know that when I first met my husband I was a size 10 and I felt really good about myself. Now that was quite a few years ago ...Right now I'm able to fit into a size 14 but it's kinda tight!

With that being said I think if I were able to fit comfortably into a size 12 I would be happy. I am 5'11, so really struggle finding pants and jeans long enough.

Thumbs up Re: What size would you like to be?

This is a great question and is actually how I judge my progress. My ultimate goal is a 7/8, but I would be happy with a ten. I am around a size 16 or 18 depending on the pant. But right now my goal is a pair of 14 jeans that i used to really like, and once I get into those I have a pair of 12's. That is what keeps me going

The ultimate question!

At my peak health, in my early 20's, I was an 7-8 or sometimes a 9-10 (at 125 - 130 lbs, 5'8''). At 24, my wedding dress was a 12 - but I had stopped weighing myself! Now, at 33, and about 100 lbs overweight (240), I'm about an 18W (or a 2X).

I'd LOVE to be a 10-12. But I know my heart will soar with every size I go down, and I'll be pretty darn relieved to get out to the Women's (plus size) section. Even 14 would feel great right now! But 10-12 would be my goal.

I'd feel pretty darn happy with a 10/12 as well. In my entire life, I've never been any smaller than that- just too many years on the plus side of life to cloud my memory Anything with only 1 "x" in the sizing is what I'm after beyond that, it's just too far off to believe yet.

Wow! ummm this is hard to say. For my body type I think a 14/16 down to a 12 would look healthy on me. Last year I was in an 18 and now holding my breath in a 22. Yikes!
