Default Hi all, new Here: Gained a lot of weigh over past 1 1/2 yrs

Hey All, my name is Rich, nice to meet ya. I am male 5'7" 132 lb with a 33" waist. My body fat is 25%. I had a 27" waist 1 1/2 yrs ago. I got lazy and decided to let go of diet and exercise for a while. Now I've grown myself a belly. I'm 18 years old right now and although its winter Im going swimming in just a few weeks at an indoor pool in the city. I live in Maine, by the way. I just want to lose at least 2 inches and 7 lb by that day. I need to know though. Am I OK? I still feel skinny but my waist and body fat % dont say so. Thanks..

Rich, your not in bad shape at all. Check your local gyms, sometimes they have a 2 weeks free trial. They will show you which equipment you need to use on your target areas. Good luck..

That sounds awfully thin to me. My husband is 5 ft 8 in, and weighs 175. He\'s not fat by any means! Yeah, he has a little bit of a tummy, but what man over the age of 50 doesn\'t? But if the stats you put down are correct, I\'d think maybe you were a bit underweight.
The fat percentage may just mean you need to tone a little, but I don\'t think it\'s something you need to worry too much about.
