This is my first Christmas with my serious boyfriend and I want to make it special. I want to start some traditions that we can carry on for years to come. Does anyone have any traditions they love? I want to get us each a stocking to be filled by the other person and I want to get him an ornament. I thought it would be nice to get him one each year. Any other nice ideas?

We always drive around and look at the lights put on display by the city. Also, we have driven into chicago to see the window displays, thats fun when you don\'t have kids. Are you near a big town that has that?
My DH and I always watch the same movies each year also, our favorite for Thanksgiving is Planes Traines and Automobiles, and for Christmas we always watch Christmas Vacation. Its always fun watching it together again, year after year.
We also did a christmas card with our picture in it. When we had kids, they were in the picture also.
Hope these are some good ideas. I have lots more for you when you have kids!

Micheal and I have only been married 5-1/2 years. We don\'t really have any traditions. We always try to catch \"It\'s a Wonderful Life\" (the original version) every Christmas Ever. And if it\'s not on TV, we have the video.
Oh, I do a stocking for him every year. One thing that\'s always in that stocking is Reese\'s Pieces. He loves those. Sometimes I get a large bag and sometimes I get several little bags. But I always wrap them. And if it\'s the small bags I wrap them individually, or a couple at a time. He always expects them.

Spend a day or afternoon doing charity/volunteer work either xmas eve or some day during the holiday period.

Having the time together,just being with each other is what counts. Maybe you can create your own Christmas card/letter for him on what things he has done for you or made you feel have made this Christmas extra special???

We do the ornament thing every year.. It is a special thing that we did durring the year and we have to look really hard to find something special//
