Suzie – The lady next to me in Spinning today must have been in her 40’s and she looked absolutely amazing. Toned and fit. I had to ask her how she stays that way and she said she does weights 3 times a week [Day 1 - chest, triceps – Day 2 – back, biceps – Day 3 – legs, shoulders] and she does a couple days of cardio shocking the system [sprints, whether she runs or is on the elliptical and Spinning]. Amazing body. Not a drop of cellulite. I think the bottom line is – and the one consistent piece of advice – is the WEIGHTS WEIGHTS WEIGHTS. This is what I’m focusing on so come December, I’ll do another body fat % and see if I’ve dropped, that’s really where my focus has gone. Do you do weights?
StaceyC – YOU GOT OUT THERE!! You did it. You could have stopped and turned back and quit but you didn’t. You saw it through and got some encouragement out of it. I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!!!! I am so happy to be on this journey with you. Have you tried setting a long term goal [example: running a marathon] and a short term one [doing a pull-up, or 10 push-ups, etc.]? Maybe that may help you get back in the shape you want. I know they used to do that back in the day when I was part of the Wildcats. Are they still doing that?
Hit an afternoon Spinning class. I think I’m going to stick with 3 days of weights and 3 days of cardio through the holiday season and reassess in January – after I take a new fat body percentage. I can’t go wrong with that!!!
WHERE’S SHERYL TODAY?!?! It’s not like her to be MIA for a day. I miss you Sheryl…….

I thought about setting a goal to do a 5k race. My goals mostly have been about health, like to improve heart function, keep diabetes under control, wear a smaller size. I am turning 44 in March so I am thinking about setting some goal for that. Man, that sounds old!! 44!
Nikki, you are always so sweet! Thank you. I would like to take a spinning class so badly!! I am bored with walking.
I am trying to do more resistance exercises and more toning. I kind of stopped for the past 2 months, and this am, pushups and dips were a bear!
