Default My 1st Weight-Loss Challenge! Wanna join?

Hi everybody!!! I'm feeling super-motivated right now (I usually don't, so I'm appreciating it while it's here!) I've come up with a new mini-goal for myself, and I am DETERMINED to reach it by the end of October--by Halloween!

I just started last week, so I'm a week ahead of you, but I'm still hoping that somebody will want to join me! Basically, I am just going to be as strict as I possibly can and see how much weight I can lose by month's end! October just feels LUCKY!

My motivation? Besides being TIRED of being overweight, I just discovered that my favorite band will be playing at my favorite bar/restaurant on Halloween. EVERYBODY will be dressing up, and I've never done that before. This Halloween, I WILL!

It has always been a dream of mine to dress in one of those sexy adult costumes--like the police woman, French maid, nurse, or naughty school girl. But I have been overweight my ENTIRE adult life so far.

Well I'm not going to wait any longer. This Halloween I'm going to be able to dress up in whatever I want to dress up in. I'm already six pounds closer!

I started this particular thread of my diet at 173 pounds. I just reached 167 on Fridday. Yay me! In total, I want to get down to 150 by Halloween. I know it's going to be tough, but I'm so determined. That's 23 pounds I want to lose total. But I can do it! So can you!

So would anybody like to join me?? The basic idea is to simply try to reach a mini-goal by month's end!

My goal is not as big as you, Maybe even like 10 pounds by October 31st (for the same reason!) Sign me up!! We'll keep in touch I assume?

I'd love to join!!! To be able to wear a cute halloween costume is a great insentive.

Thank you both! I've messaged the two of you!!!!! Good luck! I am so motivated right now that it almost bothers me. LOL! I think of the workout DVD that I do three times per week and how annoyed I am by the woman who is doing the workout because she seems to love exercise. It drives me nuts! But now I feel like her! I'm so determined!!!!

I could do with someone like you Lyra, to motivate me, I've been slipping a bit recently.. but I would love to lose about 8lbs this month, to get to my min-goal weight. And I have TWO hallow'een parties to go to, and would love to dress up in my 'skinny' clothes!

WE CAN DO IT GIRLS!!!!!!! I just can't shake this motivation, not that I want to! I really want to take it ALL THE WAY this time! I'm so tired of hiding behind clothes!!!!! I'm tired of being self-conscious! I'm tired of trying to fit into jeans that just fit me a few months ago! Enough is enough! I even went as far as taking a picture of myself in my bra/panties as motivation, but it was too discouraging! Lol! So I'll stick to my little weight loss chart!

Hi Ladies! I didn't think this weight-loss challenge through before I posted it (Lol! I'm a newbie!). So I have a few updates/guidelines. I figure I would post here and message you as well.

Basic guideline for this weight-loss challenge: To lose as much weight as possible by the end of October OR to reach your goal/mini goal weight which you set for the month of October.

Weigh-In: Fridays! I always weigh-in Friday because I feel my lightest Friday mornings after a week of diligently dieting and exercising. I'm sure I weigh more on Mondays after a weekend of not-so-good eating and no exercise.

So message me your beginning weight ASAP and if you have a goal by the end of October, you can add that as well!

MY STATS:

Weight as of 10/1 : 173 lbs.
Goal Weight as of 10/31: 150 lbs!!!

Note: October 31st is a Saturday. I'll do my final weigh-in the day before. It's your choice when you do it!

My Stats:

I am currently 221, My goal for the month of October is to get to my mini-goal on my weight ticker, 210 pounds! That's 11 pounds to lose in one month!

I'll weigh in on October 30th with you Lyra!

Beginning weight: 194
Goal Weight: 185
