Checking in: Yesterday I didn't get in all my water, but I got close - I think I quit at about 100 oz. Then this morning I couldn't go to the gym at normal time because I didn't have work today and instead I had a fitness evaluation with a trainer. THey did all sorts of things - like these electrode thingies that measure your body composition (lead body / fat / water) blood pressure and resting heart rate, calculate out your target heart rate for exercise, and then all these stretch and balance exercises to see what your range of motion is and make sure you aren't doing things to compensate for bad knees or ankles or back or whatever. Next step is that I go back in 2 weeks and she'll have put together a fitness plan for me incorporating the areas that I need to work on flexibility, core strength, minutes of cardio etc. etc. and she'll stay with me thru the workout to correct any form issues and show me how to get the maximum benefits. And best of all, she said I could swim until the pool was too cold as far as she was concerned, and I only need to set foot in the cardio room (treadmills, ellipticals, etc.) if it was raining, but that I do need to add more strength training in. SO that made me really happy!
Anyway - at weigh in, I hadn't loss a single pound this entire week, but I had lost 2 inches on my hips in the last 2 weeks. So I'll TAKE IT! YAY!
I'm almost done with my water today, and with having to skip breakfast for the eval this morning, my calorie count will come in at around 1700 for the day. No Dr Pepper for me today (day 3!) and so I feel like I'm on the right track!
