Good Morning Ladies,

Well second place isn't tooo bad! I am happy with it and we had a great turnout! Lets keep it up this week and all weigh in again.

My goals....
1) Eat healthy...fruits and veggies...
2)Practice portion control
3) Exercise everyday
4) add in more strength training exercises

I hope we all have a great week!

Good morning everyone! Here are my goals for the week...
1. Keeping tracking my food in my food journal.
2. Get the weekly challenge done
3. Cardio three days and strength training two days
4. Try not to stress too much this week (Busy work week..the fourth of July...and my sons birthday are all in this week! )
5. Only allow positive self talk. Stop being so hard on myself and celebrate the small victories.

Well I am getting ready to go and do some Tae Bo...which I really love if I am super stressed. I have a pretty busy week ahead of me as mentioned before but I did have a small victory last night. I watched my portions like a hawk at our family dinner last night. I didn't go back for seconds and I did eat some dessert because it had been awhile and wanted some. I just didn't go all crazy on my portions. I am noticing that my pants are starting to get looser and that has been fueling my motivation. I don't want to gain the weight back and go back up a pants size. I hope you all have a fabulous week!

Hey everybody! Glad to see we did awesome last week. I was weighing in on Mondays but I'm going to change to Fridays I think because it is kind of confusing me since the majority of the team weighs towards the end of the week. Congrats Tobey on being the MVP! My goals for this week are:

-Continue tracking my calories with the food journal on here
-Zumba three days a week
-Increase to 45 min. of intervals on the elliptical three days a week
-3 sets of 10 reps on every core machine in my gym on elliptical days
-Drink more water
-Start watching my carb intake
-Lose 2 pounds!

So anyone have advice for target carb intake? I'm not trying to eliminate them completely but I think I'm getting too much. I do Lean Cuisines for lunch a lot and they have few calories but a lot of carbs so are they a bad idea? Any advice on this is appreciated! Hope everyone has a fantastic week!

Hi guys Sounds like everyone is on the right track so far this week. My boys are both off at different summer camps for the first time by themselves! I'm having mega empty nest syndrome...

Hey Heather, I weigh in on mondays. My weight just counts for next week. I like weighing in on Mondays because it keeps me accountable over the weekends.
About the carbs, I just try to not eat white stuff such as white bread, pasta rice, sugar and potatoes. I still eat whole grains. Make sure you are eating enough protein. Also, you should get some protein at every meal.

Thanks for the advice! Well, I did weigh today and I maintained...boo. I was weighing in on Mondays for the same reason to keep me in check over the weekend. Maybe I will stick to Mondays... So I guess for next week I am a maintain so sad lol. I know what to do about it though so don't expect any more weeks like this from me!

My legs were horribly sore today due to the seed planting yesterday. Today I used the push mower and weed eater a lot which was a lot of work. I walk for 4.5 miles today, on this evenings walk my dog had a run in with a skunk and needless to say he is spending the night OUT side! I can still smell him in the house! I don't have everything to make the "skunk fix" to bathe him in so he will have to wait until I can get to the store in the morning.

Great!!! I am getting together with my aunt and family for the 4th. I thought okay I can do this! I am going to bring veggie hotdogs for the grill and a salad dish. My aunt called today and wants me to bring pies (who brings pie to a cookout?). SO now I am looking though all of these recipes for pie and all of the pics look oh so good! I AM going to be good though and not have any!! pie isn't one of my favorite things so why waste calories on it? We will be having pizza and salad (homemade, 1 slice each) for lunch and that will do it for my calories, no extra allowed! Has anyone noticed that since starting to eat healthy that people give you bad food? It seems that no matter where I go people are giving me food that I should not eat! For example when I went with my sister for the day we went to a resturant and I got a salad. The really nice cook (we talked to her when we came in) bought over this HUGE cookie and said "I smashed it coming out of the oven so I can't sell it here". COME ON! It was chocolate chip and was dripping grease onto the napkin, I gave it to sister and only took less than half when she insisted. The next time the place we were going had a ice cream truck giving away stuff! It is hard enough not to buy things but when people are giving them to me right and left it is driving me crazy! Okay, just had to vent!
