Default The Quest For Onederland: June 2009

The Quest For Onederland Challenge


What it is:

This is a motivational group for all of us who are on the quest to drop that 2 or even 3 from the beginning of our weight! 199 is a landmark for anyone over 200lbs trying to lose weight. So, we’ve banded together in hopes of pushing each other to meet this much desired goal which seems to allude us all, “onederland”.

How it works:

In order to enable the most versatility to the group, it is organized into “zones”. Depending upon how far away from 199lbs you are, you will be put into a different zone. They are as followed:



White Zone
: Onederland and maintaining

Red Zone: 1-10 lbs away (200-210)

Yellow Zone: 11-25 lbs away (211-225)

Blue Zone: 26-50 lbs away (226-250)

Black Zone: 50+ lbs away



This helps to keep us from focusing simply on that silly number, 199. Rather, we have smaller steps along the way to look forward to, as well.

Obligations:

Obviously, for this to really be helpful we want everyone to check in regularly. Still, life is busy. The only thing you are really asked to do, is notify us of when you have changed zones (up OR down)

I know!!!! I get on BS to add to my Food journal and the next thing I know it has been an hour because I think well, I will just check the forum, or blogs "real quick". I am thinking I have to do the same thing limit my time. I will write my foods on a paper during the day and then add them at night.

I am so glad to hear how excited you are! Go, girl, go. Keep us posted.

Hello everyone! I agree too that sometimes the computer can cause us to sit too much and not be involved outside, exercising, etc. It happens to me sometimes.

We went out and saw some friends last night we haven't seen in awhile. My friend was amazed at how much weight I have lost. I showed her i can do man push ups and she was so surprised! She told me that the last time she had seen me i was a big girl, but now I am so much smaller. it was neat! She was so amazed i could do exercises and move around so much more freely now.

I have been keeping busy. husband's off vacation now so i have to get myself organized and make my house more functioning. it's very disorganized right now and i can't stand it!

Stacey- I'm sorry you were feeling down but you seem a little happier now. If you ever need to vent we are here for you. Congrats on your weight loss being noticed. I love that!

I posted in the other forum before I knew this one was up. So I'm going to go copy and paste all of that now.

Jessica- A lot of it really just doesn't make any sense. When I was with my ex he cheated a lot and was somewhat verbally/emotionally abusive. When I was with him I didn't see all of that. Sometimes it takes being away from a situation to really understand how bad things were. For people who never get away from men like that, they never get to see it from the outside. Love is blind.

I think I'm all caught up. Sorry I haven't been on much lately. Just as soon as I start to feel good again the morning sickness creeps back in. I am having some problems with my blood sugar running low because I haven't been able to eat very much (or keep a whole lot of it down). I'm not really sure what to do about it. I just try to eat when I can.
